Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
Your product key should be on the COA sticker somewhere on your computer case. If it is a laptop, look on the bottom. COA stands for Certificate Of Authenticity. if you can't find it, you can use the key from another machine with the exact same version of Vista that you have, Each key is good for two machine and the assumption is that one will be a home computer and the other will be a laptop and they will not be used at the same time.

The key is your product and license. If you still have the proof of purchase you may be able to contact Microsoft to get a new key.
However if you don't have proof of purchase and/or microsoft won't give you a new key your out of luck. It's like saying you lost your car and now you can't drive. The only solution is to buy a new car (key).
