Toshiba M55-S3512 After XP SP3 update, OS IS NOW MISSING
I have Toshiba Satellite M55-S3512 that I was cleaning up, I ran the update directly from the windows site, diagnostics shown were to update to XP SP3. update completed, system rebooted to a black screen. what could have caused this? after trying to boot up in all safe modes, system never restored. was never able to boot up in any safe mode. I eneded up reinstalling the OS, now I have lost all the other drivers and cannot connect to the internet.

Well, with the usual efficiency of Toshiba, I can't locate the M55 series laptops to lookup, the M50 does seem to be similar though and all the USB ports there are 2.0. Easiest way? Find a new USB device (memory stick for example) and plug it into each port in turn. Give windows enough time to detect and install it, and if it's a USB1 port, you'll get a message saying "This device can perform faster in a USB2 port".
i need drivers for my toshiba satellite M55-S3512. other drivers i have found from the toshiba web site but only the given below drivers i could not find.
1. Mass Storage Controller
2. Video Controller
3. Video Controller(VGA Compatible)
