Go to pricewatch.com.....check the appropriate sections. They have pictures. Also, if your computer came with a manual (and if it is equipped properly) it will give you a name...i.e. DVI out. That name equates to a cable you need.....but if your motherboard does not have that "out", then you will have to buy a card. All of that you can not only figure out at pricewatch or the compaq help site but also save a few bucks probably. Hope this helps..Tango.

Every laptop has at least a VGA (computer video connection) and s-video cable port. A VGA cable is preferred if you want to be able to read text on your LCD TV. Check to make sure that your LCD TV has a VGA connector. It's a port that accepts a 15-pin connection so it's pretty easy to spot if it's there. It's just like a computer monitor cable if that helps. Should be able to find it at any local retail store that carries computers. VGA or RGB cable.
