Question about Samsung RS2630WW Side by Side Refrigerator

1 Answer

Refrigerator temperature will not stay in 30 degree range for any period of time. It seems to repeatedly go up to 55 or 60 degrees and then drop back down to 38 degrees for a bit. In contrast, the freezer section appears to be holding steadily at 4 to 8 degrees. I have replaced the main computer control board and the evaporator fan and fan blade and still haven't cured this problem. Please offer some suggestions besides me getting another refrigerator.

I finally had to give up on that refrigerator, although I liked the design, I had run out of patience and funds for continuing to repair it. I replaced it with a similar, somewhat less expensive, model from Whirlpool.

Have you done a continuity test on the t-stat and the heater also when you did replace the fan did you assure that you defrosted the airport holes that go from the freezer to the fridge area lastly if the t-stat and the heater check out to be working properly then you might have a sensor problem but first check out the tstat this is usually the first thing that goes on fridgerators please remember to rank how this opinion helped in your appliance situation and if i can aswer anything futher please message me back thank you again

Can you operate a refrigerator in a garage with out problems

Good day,
The high and low temperature range for a domestic refrigerator is 55 and 95 degrees. Above and below that issues will appear.
Above 95 degrees the compressor will be taxed badly, and will obviously shorten it's life.
Below 55 degrees it will not run enough to keep the freezer at decent temperatures, and because it stays off long periods of time, the oil in the compresser sump will thicken, making compressor starting difficult and once again shortening it's life.

It's done all the time but there is a cost long term.

I have a Frigidaire model GLFU206FWA upright freezer. The temperature control won't go above 10 degree F. This causes freezer burn on some foods after a period of time. Is there a way to regulate the...

Good day,
Manufacturers of freezers do not give the option of running the machine much above that temperature. Normal operating temperature for a freezer is about -2 to about 8 above F.
Otherwise people could accidentally set the temp too warm and cause a loss of food.
Some appliance parts houses carry universal thermostats that could possibly cover the temperature range your looking for, but 30 degrees is far to warm to preserve frozen food safely.

My wife and I bought a Kenmore chest freezer (14.8 cubic foot) about 6 weeks ago. It is made by Frigidaire for Sears, and the model number is #253.165.42105, serial # WB94341279. It has been working OK. ...

This is well with in factory specifications. Hot air rises and cold air drops. Because a chest freezer does not have a fan to circulate the air it is normal for the basket to be warmer than the bottom of the freezer. The bottom of the freezer is used for food you want to keep for a longer period of time. What you store in the basket is food you will freeze for a short period of time. Ice cream should not be kept in the basket. As you fill your freezer with food you will find that the temperature will equal out because the frozen food will take up the place of the frozen air which will give you a more stable freezer temperature.
Try your test when you have it full of food.

What oil viscocity for honda accord DX 1990 for cold weather ?

5W- 30 is the lowest you can go in winter time. I would use a high mileage formula since we're talking about a 1990 honda. It will help condition the seals in the motor from making any oil leaks worse.

Cooler wont cool below 48 degrees.

Keep a thermometer handy. (adjust temperature control knob accordingly)
Periodically monitor temperatures inside your cooler. (adjust as necessary)
Keep the refrigerator door closed as much as possible to avoid temperature fluctuations

The temperature of the refrigerator compartment is
controlled by adjusting/setting the thermostat control
knob, located on the ceiling of the refrigerator
cabinet.
To start the refrigerator, and achieve maximum
cooling quickly;
• Turn the temperature control knob (using a coin
or screwdriver) clockwise to the furthest
(maximum) setting on the darker blue section of
the graduated control dial.
• Allow the refrigerator to run at this setting for 3~4
hours.
• When maximum cooling is achieved, turn back
the temperature control knob setting to the 2:00
o'clock position on the graduated blue control
dial.
• Correct cooling temperature is a key factor to
consider in storing and dispensing draught beer.
• Optimum temperature for serving draught beer is
between 34ºF ~ 38ºF.(1ºC ~ 3ºC)
• To maintain temperatures ranging between
34ºF ~ 38ºF.(1ºC ~ 3ºC) We recommend the
thermostat knob be positioned at the "2:00
o'clock" setting on the graduated blue control dial.
• To turn off the refrigerator, (no cooling) rotate the
control knob to the "0" position.
