My printer fails the alignment test. Any suggestions

I had that problem years ago. I got an answer from one of the HP tech's. I run the test, but it never got over it, so he told me to: First push ENTER --Then SET-UP. This will by pass "align cartridge". I have a 2002 machine all in one, but hope this may help you. I never had any problems after that!
