It is the error you get when you have entered the wrong radio code three times or when stereo have been disconnected from the car battery. You need a code to unlock your radio if it has been disconnected from the battery, check the document that came with it to see the unlock code to unlock your stereo.

Take care.

Volvo 940 stereo EEE ??

It is showing EEE because of wrong codes being entered previously,.

To reset it, leave it SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes.

This could be many hours as the waiting time doubles after each wrong code

03 Chevy Cavalier Replace Factory Stereo

I am currently in the process of putting in a new stereo in my 03 cavalier. It's actually quite a process but can be done with some patience. I really don't have the time for a highly detailed explanation but here is the outline. First pull the airbag fuse just in case, you'll see why. The dashboard will have to come out first. It all starts with the screw located inside the drivers side fuse box area. This will allow the dashboard to be gently pryed up and popped out, there are just clips holding. Keep an eye out for areas that are not coming up easily, there will probably be screws to take care of. (There are some in the glove box.) From here it's pretty self explanatory. The trim around the stereo must come out. Then the stereo. Not too difficult. You'll need a warning chime replacement harness. I used SCHOSHE #GMLAN2SR. You'll probably need a dash install kit depending on the size stereo you go with. You'll also need to wire the stereo to a switched source of power(12V ignition, orange). Have fun...

Replaced battery in my 03 ford focus now my car stereo will not power on. any procedure to reactivate my car stereo to turn. been reading horror stories about this setup. ugh!!

Not sure if this will help you , but many aftermarket have a reset switch behind the faceplate. would be a small hole about big enough to poke the tip of a ball point pen into.
Also , remove the faceplate and replace it making sure it is clicked in securly.

Want To Install New Stereo

You need to remove the front face on the dashboard...either you can "feel" your way through this, or you can get a basic manual like haynes that contains instructions. Most radios have accessory packages available that consist of an adapter harness and face plate which will make the job go a bit easier.R&R instructiona are not complicated but too long to write out.
Good luck!
