Mi Wii remotes also stopped working suddenly. I resynced the remotes, but they just flash and turn off. I unplugged the Wii for a minute, and plugged back in, no luck. I also pressed 1& 2 buttons on the remote and held down the sync button on the console simultaneously, and no results.

    I checked all the connections.

Bought a new will remote but it doesn't work.

Check the battery levels. You can do this by pressing A. If all 4 lights flash on and off, your batteries are completely charged. 3 lights, 2 lights, and 1 light signify 3/4, 1/2, and 1/4 battery levels. If lights don't flash, replace/insert batteries.
If it's not working with your console, open up the battery cover and the flip lid on the front of the console. (If it's a Wii U, you don't need to open the flip lid.) In both places, there is a red button. (On Wii U, it's next to the flip lid.) Press both red buttons at the same time. (Your Wii will need to be powered on.) The Wii Remote will continuously flash lights until it either receives a sync signal or about a minute has passed; whichever comes first. If you've pressed the buttons and your remote is still flashing, press the button on the console again. Once the remote is synced, the flashing lights will turn into a single light; the placement of the light will vary depending on how many remotes are signed into the Wii.
*Note* Once your remote is synced, you simply need to press A to sign back in if your remote turns off.
If all of the above steps were followed, and your remote is still not functioning, contact the manufacturer. Brands such as Nintendo and Nyko are usually okay, but generics like GameStop aren't the best. It's often easiest to return it and buy a different brand.

The Wii turns on but the remote won't connect to the screen...all lights working also, bought a new sensor bar and still nothing...???

Turn on the Wii console, when at the home screen press any button on the wii remote, if the lights on the wii remote remain dark then it needs new batteries.

If the lights all light up at the same time then stop this means you are not synced. Press the 1 and 2 buttons at the same time to sync, this will work if they have been synced before.

If your four lights still blink blue then you need to open the little compartment on the console that is right below the disc tray. Inside is a little red button, press the button. Now open your battery compartment on the wii remote and take out the battery, then press the red button inside. Put the battery back in and the controller should sync up. If you are still having trouble you will need to contact Nintenedo Technical Support.

Hope this helped!

Hello, When i try and use the Wii remotes [after charging in the Wii charger dock] all the blue lights at the bottom of the controller flash and then nothing...........also when the controllers are in...

The flashing lights likely means the controllers are not synced to the Wii. Syncing them to the Wii is really easy, luckily

Generally, you can find the sync button under the battery cover on accessories, which should be a small red button. Look around your remote for it.

After you find your sync button on your remote, find the one on the Wii. It is above the SD slot, and you will have to pull open the cover to see it, which is the little rectangular cover on the front of the Wii right underneath the power and reset buttons. The sync button is the little red one.

Once you've found both buttons, hold them both down at the same time for about 3 seconds, then let go and the two should sync with each other. You only need to do this once and you should be fine.

My wii remote would not work so i bought a new wii wireless sensor and it still does not work can you help please

Have you checked the battery in your Wiimote? It seems like a very basic thing to do, but sometimes the wiimote might not hold a charge if you placed the batteries in incorrectly. If your Wiimote is showing a charge, then you may have forgotten to sync up your wiimote with your sensor bar.
  1. Open the battery door to your Wiimote
  2. You'll see a red button on the bottom of the opened hatch, it says SYNC.
  3. Press that and the sync button on your Wii.
If that still doesn't work, check the connection of your wii sensor cable to your wii. Try pushing the cable in securely.
Good luck!

Bought new wii remote and wont power up

The wii remote won't power up the Wii itself, or you can't get the wiimote to come on?

If it won't turn on the Wii, it may have to be synced with the system. Not really sure, though. But to sync it, take of the back of the wiimote(the battery cover) and open the little flap on the Wii. There should be red buttons in each. With both on(turn the wii on manually with the power button on the system), press both red buttons at the same time. Alternatively, you can go to the menu and sync wiimotes from there.

If the wiimote won't come on, make sure the batteries are new/charged.

Remotes are not working. Need help. Remotes are charged. Tried to sync several times. Unplugged console. Giving up...

You know, this really takes alot of patience. I recommend that you sync one at a time. Sync one remote, turn off the Wii (Not by unplugging it). Then turn it back on, don't turn on the one that you just used, and sync the next one, and so on. Did that help?

Wii Remotes are not working.

Be sure to follow this procedure in order:

Note: Make sure you have placed batteries in the Wii Remote.

  1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.
  2. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up, and press the SYNC button just below the batteries. The Player LED will blink.
  3. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console and press the SYNC button on the inside of the compartment.
  4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 to 4).
If that doesn't work, try putting fresh non-rechargable alkaline batteries in the remote and repeat the above procedure. The culprit may actually be your batteries.

I have two Wii remotes with rechargeable batteries that were working fine at first, but now one of the remotes won't even turn on or light up. I've tried re-syncing the remote, but it doesn't work.

I called Nintendo and they said that the charging station most likely fryed my controller. Nintendo doesn't currently make any charging stations and recommends that if you want rechargable batteries, to buy the ones that come in a package and recharge in a seperate dock that doesn't stay inside the Wii remote. The charging stations that are out do say Wii on them, but they are not Nintendo approved and may cause problems like mine. They said to always look for the Nintendo seal of quality if you want a trustworthy product. As for me, I have returned my charging dock and the new remote.

Wii docking station

try new (non chargeable) battery's and if they work then you have bad battery's, if they dont you have a problem with the remote or unit.
