Question about Washing Machines

Open Question

I have a Whirlpool model WFW9600TW01 front loading duet steam automatic washer. I am getting error F35 both when I try to run a load and when I run the diagnostic program. I have cleaned all the hoses, cleaned the drain pump and can see water moving, have cleaned the dispenser, cleaned the flow regulator and associated hoses. Nothing worked so I bought a replacement steamer assembly. I put it in and ran the diagnostic program. I got error F35 early in the diagnostic program. C00 was on then it switched to F35. I guess it is not the steamer assembly. What can I check or fix or replace next?

Hi dear.I may have solution for the SUD error. You can give it a go.But I do not know any thing about F35 one
The motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If “Sud” is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

Potential Causes

• If too much detergent was used, run the unit through a Rinse/ Spin cycle then a
Normal cycle without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check Wire Harness connections to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check / Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects
• Check Drain Pump
• Check the Pressure Switch
• Check CCU

Replace failed component.

As it says run couple of rine cycles it should get back to normal.I hope that helps you.Thanks.

F35 is a water level error.
The water level switch (pressure switch) has malfunctioned.

If you remove the top panel, three screws in the back, you will have access to the pressure switch.

With the tub empty, remove the vinyl hose from the switch and blow backwards through the hose to clear any restrictions.

If the fault codes return after doing this, you will likely need to replace the pressure switch.

Also - please be sure to use He soap.

Whirlpool Duet Model WFW9600TW01 has F35 code and not running. Manual does not reference this code.

Hi,
You have a pressure sensor problem and will need to replace it. Pressure Sensor This will correct the problem you have with your unit. To access it, your will need to removed the 3 screws on the back of the unit to the top cover only, slide the cover back to the rear of the unit to remove. Locate the part and replace it, it should be mounted toward the front control but I have seen models where it was toward the back. It is on the top though and accessible.
Thanks and good luck Gere

Whirlpool duet steam WFW9600TW00 code F35

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F35 error means that there is some sort of issue with the steamer electronic board and analog pressure sensor has gone bad. Check that the hose is firmly attached with the washer and is not blocked. You can also check the water level pressure switch operation. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Whirlpool Duet -Sud displays and washer stops

I;ve had the same problem (SUD on first fill) and found this most helpful for my WFW9600TW01 Duet washer

http://www.tellingmachine.com/post/Fixing-Sud-and-F35-errors-on-my-Whirlpool-WFW9600TW01-Washer.aspx

I duplicated his actions and it cleared up my SUD/F35 error. I think running the diagnostic test multiple times flushes the sensors/sensing lines to eliminate the problem.

Error code

Our new Whirlpool Duet had the same problem after only three months of use. We contacted Whirlpool since the washer is still under warranty. The issue is a "bad pressure switch". The part number is W10156252. Service company replaced the part yesterday, and the washer is working like normal. Whirlpool nor the service company had any explanation why the part would go bad in such a short time. No charge since the washer is under warranty.

WARNING - There must be a shortageWe were initially told that the part was backordered for 2 to 3 weeks. We even tried to obtain the part through other vendors and got the same time frame. Furious with the potential of being without a brand new washer for 3 weeks, we spent many hours on the phone with Whirlpool trying to expedite the part. After some strong encouragement and moving the issue up the chain of customer service, Whirlpool agreed to pull a part from the factory inventory where the washers are built. The only problem is that nobody could tell us when, or if, the new part would be shipped. Suddenly, the part just arrived by FedEx at our house. In all, our washer was inoperable for 1 week. Be persistent. They will tell you over and over there is nothing they can do.

If you negotiate well, Whirlpool will extend your factory warranty for an additional year.
