the model number of my dishwasher is KUDIO2IRWH1 not the shown in your problem and answer. As far as I know there is no timer on this model.

I don't believe the pump would work if the door latch is bad. As a expert are there any other ideas you might have. All of your suggestions were available for free on the internet.

Does the motor turn and is not stuck? If it is free, then you may want to get a tester. An ohmmeter and a voltmeter. Test the door switch with an ohmmeter. A bad door switch can cause problems.
There is also a timer that can cause some problems as well. You can test the power coming out of it with the meter.
If those test out ok, check for a hi-temp thermostat. That can be tested with an ohmmeter. Should be between 11 and 30 ohms.
If those check out ok, then it's on to the control board.

Partselect . com has parts diagrams and more if you need pics and diagrams of the machine.

Have you checked the thermal fuse and the door switches?

From my experience I can think of a couple things. Since it is filling with water, then pump and motor and door switch are good, Either the temp sensor is bad and machine is not pre-heating the water and it then takes about 1/2 hour to heat before it will start, or the water level float switch is bad and it is telling the machine there is not enough water in the machine, or the timer is defective not engaging the machine into the next cycle.

There should be a clip on it and you can lightly pry the sides over then pull the clip off and pull the sensor out.
Normally located in between the door panels.

Cycle starts, but does not fill with water

When I start a new cycle, I first hear the pump run to empty out all remaining water, and after that I hear the motor run for the regular washing cycle, but there is no water in the dishwasher. After a few minutes, the cycle stops, and the washer claims the dishes are 'clean'. When I try starting a new cycle over and over again, about one in 20 times, the cycle will run normally with water. But then the next time, the problem starts all over again. Once a cycle starts correctly, everything works fine, including the rinsing.

This is probably okay, you have clock like motions running the motor electric contacts. There needs to be a delay between some cycles or shorting will occur. The motor on some designs, for example. is reversed to pump out water. to have this work long term, a delay is inherent and not a concern.

The clean light keeps blinking and won't run new cycle

Whirlpool & Kitchen-Aid
Tall Tub Dishwashers
PROBLEM: STOPPED RUNNING, WILL NOT START AND CLEAN LED BLINKS 7 TIMES, THEN REPEATS (WATER HEATING FAULT)
Control is programmed to stop running and not allow any further
cycles if it detects a water heating problem (no temperature
increase detected in heated Main Wash cycle or in 3 consecutive
cycles on the latest software version). Control blinks the Clean
LED 7 times repeatedly and disables the Start/Resume key until
cleared.
Running Diagnostics clears the control and allows it
to operate again. The water heating condition
must be corrected or the control will stop
running again. See potential causes below.
Check If…
Heater circuit problem:
♦ Open heater.
♦ Wire disconnected, open connection or component
in heater circuit.
♦ Faulty heater drive circuit on control.
Then…
1. Check operation of heater in Diagnostics cycle.
2. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
3. Check resistance of heater and all components
and connections in the water heating circuit or heat
dry circuit.
Door switch not making contact consistently:
♦ Misaligned door latch assembly (which can be
aggravated by high door closure force keeping
strike plate from fully seating).
♦ Faulty door switch (high resistance).
♦ Loose or missing installation anchor screws,
causing tank to shift in cut-out.
NOTE: Neutral switch on plastic tub models is only in series with
the heater; other loads are not affected.
1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
2. Measure resistance of door switch contacts while
checking mechanical operation of latch assembly.
Confirm switches not loose from assembly. Check
strike plate and door closure.
Wash pump not pumping water past the heater efficiently.
• Foreign object in pump
• Excessive foaming
• Clogged pump screen or broken chopper screen
• Loose electrical connection in motor circuit
See Tech Sheet “WASH PUMP WILL NOT PUMP”.
Lack of water to heat. (Unit not filling properly)
• Insufficient water supply pressure
• Fill valve screen blocked or valve not opening fully
• Loose electrical connection on Fill Valve.
• Float switch obstructed or functioning abnormally
See Tech Sheet “WILL NOT FILL OR LOW
WATER”.
Diagnostic Key Dance:
Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or
High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry

GE Triton Dishwasher fills with water but no spraying occurs.

Trouble shooting GE dishwasher

Air gap is clean
Garbage disposal is clean
Dishwasher fills with water OK
Drain pump runs after a wait of several minutes and seems to run slow but drains most of the water out of the reservoir.
Dishwasher is not running the wash cycle (spraying water on dishes)

Washer will not start up

check the manual. it sounds like a warning that would be in the troubleshooting section at the back.
usually the motor comes on to discharge any remaining water that could have been left in the bottom, then it fills. if it never gets to fill, then the problem is likely the pump motor unit. especially if you hear it try to run, but then it stops. it could be the fill valve too. if it runs to drain and then trys to fill but the valve does not open, it will not run.
it could also be a timer or capacitor.
good luck

Dishwasher fill with water then just hums

the hum is probably the main pump powered up but not turning. the pump is an induction motor and a usual fault is the motor capacitor. try to access it, find the value of the capacitor and replace. it is a cheap part
