This is a Panasonic split system about 7.5 kva (not an inverter) we use it more for heating than cooling but it does it more on heating cycle, happens not all the time just every now and then. Sounds as if its gas noises in the wall unit pipes startles you when it happens. Bang sounds a pressure valve releasing abruptly?/ Compressor is outside

On heat/cool pump systems there is a reversing valve in the outside unit that changes the gas flow. When you change from heat to the cool mode there will be a change in pressure due to the reversing of the gas flow. The sound you are most likely hearing is this valve operating in a normal manor.

does the ac continue to make the noise even in fan only mode or is only in cooling mode. If only in cooling then it could be a gas related problem or blocked coil.

Frigidaire in wall air conditioner making noise fan/ motor?

Is it a clicking or banging sound? The fan is most likely not kicking up the moisture to cool the evap coil off enough in the unit so you might here more noise for a little while. Monitor it and let me know if anything changes.

I just purchased this portable air conditioner. I have a few questions about its operation and intimation. First, my window is a vertical sliding window that is about 55u inches tall. Do u have anything...

LG does not currently have an extender panel. However, call Vance Baldwin/Encompass at 1-866-779-7906, as they may can help you with that.

As far as noise is concerned: Generally speaking, most noises heard from the air conditioner are normal sounds of operation. Most of the time, noises are muffled during the day by activity in the home, but heard at night when it is more quiet.

Vibrating Noise? This is most likely the result of improper installation. Check that the unit is secured properly in the unit. Make sure the filter and the front grille are attached properly.

Hissing/Gurgling Noise? At the ON/OFF operation is caused by the refrigerant flowing inside the air conditioners sealed system. THIS IS NORMAL. This sound is a little louder for 2~3 minutes when the unit is first turned on. This is the sound of the compressor start-up. THIS IS NORMAL.

Beeping sound when control settings are selected/changed? THIS IS NORMAL. This noise is a signal that the control panel settings have been changed.

Pinging Noise? THIS IS NORMAL. This is the result of moisture in the base pan being picked up by the fan (called a slinger fan) and thrown against the condenser. This helps to discharge the heat and make the unit cool more efficiently.

Is the unit installed in an enclosed are? A unit enclosed by many walls is likely to produce more noise as the sound waves will be reflected and echoed.

Once the room temperature is met, the compressor should turn off automatically. But, the fan may run for several more minutes.

I hope this helped you. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

My new frigidaire window unit air conditioner makes a constant "water gurgling" noise after it's been running for an hour or so. The tilt is correct - have I missed a plugged drain?

Hello, some window units will not have a drain plug on the bottum, instead they use the condenser fan to sling water on the condenser to evaporate the condensate. The gurgling is normal when humidity is high and alot of condensate builds up.

I have a lot of noise coming from the pipes i have bleed the air valves from the registers and still have the noise

you can not bleed air from a air con system like you can a radiator in your home its against the law the system will need to have the gas removed checked for leaks put on a vacum then recharged bleeding will not work

It's two years old, and is now spitting out lots of water.

Should have a drain on the unit. Check for ports that have debris in them on the outside of the unit. Clean the debris out and the unit should drain normally.
