Question about Saeco VIA Venezia

Open Question

Via Venezia Type SUP 002EV

We lent this machine to a customer. Came back in a grotty state. I've cleaned it up including the grinder. The grinder worked fine before I put the cover back on but now the "No water" and "beans" lights both come on, and nothing else happens except the steam delivery. Any suggestions?

Push the coffe brew button again. It should take right off and grind again.

We have broken the handle on pressurized portafilter for Saeco Via Venezia espresso machine. where can we get replacement?

I don't think the handle is sold separately. Seattlecoffeegear does sells both a bottomless and an unpressurised portafilter for the Via Venezia. Both would be considered upgraded gear vs the pressurized one.

How do I properly descale my via venezia espresso machine?

I believe the proper way is to run a vinegar water solution through the machine several times, I don't like to mess around so I use Lime away descaler, run it through both the steamer and the shot dispenser but not letting it get really hot while doing it. then I run several batches of cold clear water through the machine to rinse it.

Saeco espresso machine Isn't pulling water at all

Can you brew a coffee? If not then the problem is the pump might be blocked.

Water won't come through my Saeco via venezia coffee machine. It was working fine until I cleaned it so I don't think the pump has gone.

If the pump vibrates when trying to draw water then that is a good sign. Remo;ve the hose on the output side of the pump and turn it on to see if it draws water(BE Careful water and electricity love each other too much), it water flows out the output side, reconnect to boiler and test. If that did not solve the no draw problem then the machine is blocked either at the boiler.

Adjust the grind on the machine, or the amount of coffee the grinder puts into the chamber.
