Hello,

your TV is having a power problem. The power supply board is defective that's why the TV won't power up. Its receiving power but it cannot transfer the current to the necessary part of the TV because a capacitor, diode, etc may have been faulty. Until these bad components are replaced, the TV might not come on.

If you know about TV repairers, I would suggest that you open the TV and read the power board/panel with a meter, detect the bad component and replace it. Take note that TV stores a lot of current that can shock, so leave the TV for a while before you open it.

If you don't know about TV repairers, take the TV to the nearest repairman to fix the fault for you.

Good luck.

My rca p52926 picture cuts in and out

If model number is correct (on rear of set in small letters it should be a PTK 195 chassis) you have a high voltage lead somewhere that is arcing.

This set did have issues with the High Voltage transformer failing and also that High Voltage (well over 10,000 volts) gets distributed to each of the 3 picture tubes this model uses.

Sometimes the lead where it connects to one of the tubes begins to arc---it is coated with white silcone to prevent this.

If arcing around the entry point to any of the tubes sooner or later it will take the set down--destroy parts that are currently ok.

Usually we locate this by turning set on with back off and looking and listening when set is turned on---If a frying or pop is heard up above the main boards--one of the entry points (called the 2nd Anode) is arcing.

I have seen them arc hard enough and long enough to actually crack and break the glass wall of the picture tube.

I have a rca tv model # p56938 and it just stopped working and now just makes a beepin sound any ideas on what it ,might b b4 i throw it out

If power light is green and just barely tries to come on you may have a High voltage problem.

On back of set where model number is located is a Chassis number : something like PTK195 ETC. what is that number?

CRT pictures that "bow-in" on the edges usually indicates that the high voltage power supply is failing.

I have a 52" RCA TV Model 52w1913yx1, when I turn it on the green LED will flash and then go out. There is no High Voltage and no picture.

I suspect High voltage splitter is bad, can you confirm chassis number?

It is on label on back with model number, something like CTC or PTK 169 OR 171.

IF ONE of these chassis or similar I can tell you how to prove block is bad and where to find and replace--most of these sets also have year they were made on the back.

I'v having a problem with my RCA TV, it will not turn on. The green light will flash as if its about to come on, but to no avail. How can I fix this problem?

Depending on type and model you could have a variety of problems. If it is a DLP and flashes the LED 5 times it is like a bad lamp which you can order and replace yourself. If it is an older tv and you hear it chirp with each flash as it tries to come on, it is likely a bad HV splitter. Troubleshooting from there requires working around High Voltage, which can be very dangerous.

RCA MODEL#D52W20 WHEN TURN ON THE POWER BOTTON THE GREEN POWER LED JUST BLINKS TV DOSEN'T COME ON.

Two major problems occur to cause this, and both are on deflection p.c.b. First, after removing the back look for two or three capacitors in the power supply that are bulging or have exploded in power supply and replace. You can see this looking down on chassis and this occurs on the top of the components in question. Second, look for burn marks or arcing around high voltage transformer, or simply a shorted horizontal output transistor. You will need an ohm meter to test the transistor. These solutions have fixed every identical set to yours,(20 or so) If you would rather replace the board try PTS out of bloomington or google your model number for replacement parts. Good luck.

Tv no pic or sound

If you hear the high voltage try to come up and set shuts down in 2 secs it could be your FBT also these sets have alot of poor connections chassis should be resolder.

Will not turn on

Does the set make any sounds. DOes the front green led light or flash when you try to turn it on.. if not then it could be as simple as a fuse, if it does flash then it can be many problems
