You take the front and top off to access the drum. Here is a diagram which should help. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=47811&diagram_id=680693#d680693

My whirlpool duet front load washer has loose fins in the tub. how do i tighten them??

You're not gonna like this:

Pull the washer tub (see elsewhere on FixYa for step-by-steps), split the tub by removing the screws holding the two halves together, and remove the inner tub. Bend any tabs tighter that hold the fins on, and tighten any screws. While you have it apart, check for grease stains or other leakage on either side of the outer tub, and ensure the inner tub bearing is tight so that the inner tub shaft rotates smoothly and without oscillation. If there are stains or if the bearing is showing wear, replace that (back) half of the outer tub to replace the bearing (unless this is one of the few machines that allow you to replace only the bearing). You don't want to put all this back together, only to have to take it all apart again when the inner tub starts hammering on the inner tub because the bearing went south.

I have a Maytag neptune washing machine mod.#mah5500bww that sounds like bearings are going bad .My question is can I buy the bearing or do I have to buy the outer tub to get the bearings

yes you can buy the bearing to put in. it is by no means easy. they make a tool to inst. the bearing. it cost a arm and a leg buy tho. you may also find if you do take it apart that the shaft that rides in the bearing may be bad. that shaft is part of the inner tub. and that is way more then you want to put into the unit to repair it.

LG Front Load moves and vibrates violently during spin cycle?

This is a mis-direction. I was informed that I needed to reinforce my floor to reduce the vibration . The problem persisted. Then it turned into a loud roaring when the washer went into spin cycle. I have disassembled the machine to find out that the root of the problem was caused by a leak occuring where the inner tub's spline shaft goes through the bearing assembly in the back. the leak degraded the bearings to the point that caused the vibration to get worse and thus started a cycle of increasing distruction to the bearings untill the leak made its way onto and inside the electrical connectors for the stator. This shorted out the motherboard and totally distroys the machine to the point where the parts are more expensive to fix it then the machine is worth. To repair it you need to get the service manual to find out how to take it apart. After getting the inner and outter tub removed from the machine you need to totally dissemble the tubs so the rear outter tub that holds the bearings can be replaced. To troubleshoot if you have the same problem I had take the back plate off the washer and inspect the area at the bottom of the rotor. If you see any rust or water discoloration trails then start taking the machine apart before the motor shorts out the motherboard and kills the machine.

Replacing rear axle dust cover boot on 2005 yamaha grizzly

Inner or outter?? The outter cv joint doesn't come apart. If you rip the outter boot, you need to get a new half shaft. The inner cv joint has a clip inside that you have to take out to split the joint and install a new boot. You also need boot clamp pliers to tighten the clamps or it will come back off first time you ride it.

Has a squeek when it is in the spin cycle

mostly the motor problem  and other possible problem can be  that a bearing is bad.If the tub seal lets go water will weep into the tub bearing. This will rust the basket shaft and normally wreck the tub bearing. Once the bearings starts to get worn enough it usually gets very noisy. The tub bearing is pressed onto the outer back half of the tub shell assembly. Normally need to replace the inner basket/shaft assembly  and the outer shell with the tub bearing.
Sometimes the inner basket support will crack, this can give an clicking or banging noise as well.

Pictures of this job...
A sure indication was the brown junk/gookus leaking out if the rear bearing area and the belt has spewed it around in the drum that the rear bearing and seal was bad...

The whole outer shell and basket come out to do this repair....what bad bearing and rusted shaft looked like...

I had to remove the back panel. Undo the pump hose & water level hose, remove the 2 shocks, remove the motor, undo the front boot from the outer panel and remove the 2 springs to lift the whole assembly out from the back to work on it.

"whirlpool duet makes big noise on hi spin cycle and sandy grey staf is coming out from drain hose"

You have a big problem here. It sounds like the bearings on the drum shaft are going. this is over $400 for the back half of the outer drum and you have to be a very good mechanic to get it all apart. I currently have mine apart for the same problem which I verified by opening the door of the washer and lifting the inner stainless steel drum up and down with the machine off, of course. The tub is supported by two large ball bearings on the shaft that is supporting the stainless steel drum, and they don't sell just the bearings and seal, only the back half of the drum. If it has gotten bad enough to rub against the front half of the outer tub, it will probably have to be replaced also, about $120. This was probably caused by overloading the washer or washing something that was unbalanced and heavy; this destroys the seal between the inner drum and the heavy bearings, also not available separately, and lets water into the bearings in the aft outer tub which support the inner tub shaft. If you want to try to take this apart to verify, try looking at Whirlpool consumer services technical education group presents #L-68, Job Aid Part No. 8178076. I found it online. It has detailed instructions how to take this machine apart if you are a technician or a talented amateur, as I am. Good luck.
