Question about Ryobi Backpack Blower 25.4cc

Blower works for a while then begins to lose power and eventually turns off and won't turn back on. Has a full tank of same mix I've been using for years. what is the problem?

I'd check the fuel filter in the tank 1st. There is enough line to pull it out and off and you should be able to blow thru it. The I'd check compression which should be 90lbs. or above and if that's OK I'd pull the muffler to make sure it's not clogged up. I'd probably also disassemble the carb & blow air or carb cleaner thru it. Good Luck

Three screws. On some, there are only two screws. Some have only one screw. A few have none at all.

If there are any screws, one is nearly guaranteed to be an idle mix adjustment. With the engine warmed up & idling, turn that screw in (clockwise) 1/4 turn at a time until you can hear the idle speed drop a little. Back it out 1/4 turn and leave it alone. If the first 1/4 turn drops the idle speed, turn it OUT 1/4 turn and see if the idle speed rises more. When you get idle speed that stays the same when you make a 1/4-turn adjustment, go back to the beginning if this paragraph and repeat the first part.

If there are two or three screws, the next screw may be either an idle speed screw or a high mix screw. If it's an idle speed screw, turning it in 1/4 turn will immediately RAISE the idle speed and turning it out will LOWER the idle speed. Adjust that screw until the string head (that cuts weeds) isn't quite turning at engine idle. If it's a high mix screw, its only effect will be at full engine speed. If the engine sounds throaty, turn that screw in 1/4 turn at a time at full engine speed At some magical point, the engine sound should turn brassy. If you turn the screw in past that point, the engine will lose power because it's running too lean.

If there are three screws, then you have all three - idle mix, idle speed, and high mix.

There may be markings near the screws to identify them. Each manufacturer marks them differently, if at all. Some manufacturers simply rely on the screws' locations to indicate what they do. It'll be up to you to figure out which is which and make notes accordingly.

I am struggling to start my crf 450... I have to turn the throttle several times even before attempting to kickstart or electric start. Eventually after it starts, it runs like a dream, but once you switch...

You could have dirty carbs; it seems you bike is losing prime and that's why you're having these issues. I suggest trying some quick starting fluid ( with upper cylinder lubricant). If it starts easy with the fluid, then you have a fuel delivery issue - possible dirty slow (idle) jets. Before tearing into the carb(s), I would first try putting sea foam fuel system cleaner through it. Don't follow the directions on the can; On my Goldwing ( 5.7 gallon tank) I used 1/2 of the sea foam per tank and filled up with premium. I ran out the first tank by idling the bike and going for a long ride - I didn't go far from the house, but I did ride half the day until I ran out most of the tank. I then used the rest of the sea foam in the second tank and added specific amounts of Paint thinner to the mix. Using Acetone and Xylol ( or xylel ) at 1.5 ounces per 10 gallons, I measured out the correct amount and put it in the tank before filling. Take the mix with you, and add when you fill.The combination made my bike run much better - in the beginning, it would not run below 3,000 rpm and, after the second tank, it ran above 1,800rpm. I wound up having to rebuild all 4 carbs - but she ran well enough to get me to work until I had a check for the parts! As you stated it runs fine once started, you may want to idle it as much as possible to get the mix to try and clean out those jets. If this doesn't fix the issue, then tools will be required to rebuild the carbs.
There is a possibility of other issues, like a vacuum leak. Determining that is not so bad - let me know if you'd like the procedure to check!

Murray m2500 won't start after one day of having it

bad coil in it, i had bought a m2500 murray weedeater from walmart .did same thing i replaced the coil. bad when you buy something from wal mart and have to get it fixxed before you can use it. now it works fine

Sounds like a fuel starvation problem, Strip and clean carb. Avoid using airlines to clean carbs. remove low and high adjustment screws, reset to factory settings. Walbro carbs are generally scew both of them back in all the way and then turn out 2 full turns each anticlockwise.

Wii won't turn on.

Intertherm Electric Furnace model E3EB-023H. The blower won't turn. Unless I begin to turn it but even then it won't reach its full capacity. What can I do to fix it?

if it tries when you spin it even if does not come up full either the motor has problems or less likely the voltage to it is down some.

suspect the motor itself.

Check the air filter and clean or replace if needed. Clean or replace the spark plug. Check the in-tank filter as well (located in the tank attached to a freely moving fuel line) Also, the Stihl 2-stroke machines have a spark arrestor screen located at the outflow port of the muffler, either in the form of a bolt nozzle, or screen plate. Remove that screen and clean it or replace it if its dirty. Clogged exaust is a typical problem! All of these things are VERY easy to do, good luck!

I have a Hasqvarna 150BT blower that started to make a knocking noise at full power and has lost some power. Seems to start ok. Loss of power / rpm and knock are only ploblem?

I had the same issue with a Husqvarna 150 BT blower. Brand new ran through 2 tanks of gas and need to buy more gas , mixed 50 to 1 ratio 87 octane on new gas which was the same as what i was running and it started pinging and running like **** then stalled and would not start. took the plug out and it was fouled. cleaned the plug got it running again but still not good. This model comes with a NGK CMS7H plug which i replaced with a champion RZ7C and new gas 93 octane and lawnboy oil mixed 50 to 1 ration and now its running like a champ. I've had bad experiences with NGK spark plugs in the past and thought this may resolve the issue and it did. Hope this is helpful to anyone out there having the same issues. Also used some fuel stabilizer in the fuel mix, I hear this helps with the ethanol problem in the fall/winter gas.
