SOURCE: I need a new door seal

Im afraid without the model number, which is located inside or outside on the back of your refrigerator, unless the model number tag/sticker/plate was removed or is not readable, finding the correct part would be extremely difficult.

SOURCE: The door seems to be warped or tweaked in some way

Your fridge is not level. If you level it you will find that the door was fine , it was the fridge that was tweaked because it was not level and sitting correctly. Use a level, shims, and/or the adjustment screws on the bottom.

It is likely that the door seals on an 8 year old dishwasher could be ready for replacement.

Dishwasher door leaks on the left side at the first part of the wash cycle. Seems like it seals itself as it runs and gets hotter. Cannot see any wear or tear on the door seal (2 years old). will replace,...

Hi there... Try the simple things first. Quite often Fridges and dishwashers (with flat front seals) will start to leak if the body of the unit is distorted. This frequently happens if the supporting feet are not adjusted properly when setting up the unit in the first place. After a while the cabinet will begin to 'sink' in one corner which distorts the flatness of the whole front of the frame, allowing leaks. Try cranking up the foot nearest the leaking seal and see if it makes the leak better or worse. If worse, then crank up the opposite foot. Good luck.

My Kenmore freezer, model #253.9280212 runs but will not cool below 40 degrees. It runs all the time but I do not hear anything cut on and off. The freezer is 10 years old but looks brand new.

The first thing to check is door gasket< bad corners, gap in side, bottom or top. Close door on a dollar bill and try to slide it top to bottom side to side and if it slides fairly easy then seal is not doing good. If you find dirty area clean it off along with the cabinet side as well.If you find the side is leaking then heat gasket with hair dryer and apply vasoline to gasket to help it move freely. If you find tear or hole then replace it.

The freezer will not get cold, i replaced the defrost timer and the t-stat inside the freezer, and it keeps icing up, the heating element does work, the unit is only 2 years old

Turning it down a 1/2 to 1 knotch id try, the Whirlpool recommended is 0-5 degrees in freezer, im sure you have already cleaned coils.

So my last recommendation is the door. Ensure is closing and sealing. Sometimes the hinges wear out and the door sags, seals but sags causing humidity to get in and freeze up.

Try slipping a piece of paper between seal and door, if it goes right in its sagging, just make sure you check the whole area this way.

16 year old whirlpool dishwasher model no. DU8950XY-0

Sounds like it is a bad door seal. Recommend replacing the door seal and making sure the door is shutting square and not bent.
