You can't, this is a famous problem on all of these HP machines, however, its relatively easy to solve: you need t remove the keypad, then remove the scanner glass - under the scanner glass is a white strip that need to be cleaned with glass cleaner. You should also clean the mirrors on the scanner assembly. I have repaired about 50 of these machines, both inkjet, laser and scanner only in this way

My officeprinter is not scanning

the drivers for the scanner might have been corrupted
you might have to uninstall the printer/scanner restart your computer then reinstall the printer/scanner and its drivers
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to ports(COM&LPT) + to expand you should see a communication port and Ecp printer port you might see a yellow?question mark this will mean you need to install a new driver for this device right click you will have options to update driver, disable, uninstall or select properties again you will have the similiar options plus you can troubleshoot
click start all programs scroll to HP Officejet you should be able to see your scanner there click on open scanner driver the scanner should open make sure its turned on and that all leads attached 240 volt/USB have a secure seating and are not bad/faulty
hope this helps
