Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the cycle doesn't complete, then the first thing that should be checked is the Timer. Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the washer seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it, if yours does not have a timer then the issue is with the electronic control that has gone bad and should be replaced. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

you could have a broken belt or a frozen pump pulley. the leak has to be addressed to see where it's coming from. it could be from the pump hoses/connections. it could be the main tub seal that's leaking. if you're not handy with tools and test equipment, i suggest you call someone to have a look at it. these are problems that wont be resolved by pushing a button.
and thankyou for using this site. i hope you will continue to use this site.
if you have any further quesions or need further advice, repost another question. be sure to include the model number as well. you gave a good explanation, and that helps. anything you can think of can be of assistance
thanks,
mike

Our GE Spacemaker XL 1800 microwave's controls are locked

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes.

The cold water solenoid valve seems to have failed on you. They're easy to replace and can be purchased at any appliance parts company

GE SpaceMaker washing machine does not stop filling.

try replacing your water selenoid coming in. remember it isnt a mechanical timer it is a computerized timer, so if the selenoid isnt the problem, it might be the computerized timer. computers are very finicky, pain in the a- -!

Washer stops before the rinse cycle.

It will probably continue to be an issue, but the last three loads it has worked fine. Hopefully the mishap was a fluke.

Thanks for your help.

TAKE OFF THE FRONT PANEL BY TAKING OUT THE TWO SCREWS AT THE BOTTOM. SLIDE THE PANEL DOWN ABOUT HALF AN INCH AND THEN PULL OUT. YOU CAN NOW SEE THE INNER WORKINGS. AS FOR PARTS, TRY WWW.MARCONE.COM
