My front load washer will not spin on the final spin cycle. Washer spins in wash and rinse cycle spin. Cloths are still soaking wet.

I appreciate your post, Rachel Kovach!

From my understanding your Frigidaire frontload washer is not spinning the final spinning and the clothes are still wet. If you washer is overloaded it will not spin properly to release the water out of the clothes. Also, a small load will cause your washer to not spin properly. You should additionally check the drain hose to make sure it not kinked or twisted that could cause your improper draining. If all that checks properly it could be an issue with your drain pump, motor, and control panel. I would suggest consulting with a technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help avoid unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

Water not draining my ge washer will ot drain the water. it is spinning but not draining. i took out all the clothes and set it to spin and drain but it wont drain the water. what to do? can i do it...

It spins, but doesn't pump If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.

Won't drain properly

Hi Brian ramsden,

So i understand that your washer is not draining properly even after replacing the pump. It drains without clothes but when clothes are in the appliance it will not drain. I suggest that you contact the manufacturer or you local authorized technician for more information and assistance. This way they can get to the root of what is causing your washer to not drain properly.

-Best Regards-

Washer or dryer is putting holes in my clothes

Try putting less clothes in on a wash. The main problem is caused due to draining. My brother had this problem. Try stop your washing machine before draining and hand drain them over the sink. Best advice I can give on that one sorry

Frigidaire Front Load washer will not drain nor spin? Help! Washer will start and water will enter unit, however clicking occurs and no spin of clothes.

Hello,

Remove any kinks in the drain hose. Ensure that the washer is not sitting on the hose.

Inspect the household drain. Remove clogs, if possible. Call a plumber if you cannot remove the clogs.

Check the drain and make sure there is an air gap between the hose and drain. An air gap is necessary to prevent the drain hose from siphoning water.

Clean the pump filter. Open the pump access door. Turn the pump filter counter-clockwise and remove it. Remove dirt and debris. Replace the filter and close the pump access door.

Rearrange the clothing in the load. An unbalanced load can prevent the washer from spinning or draining.

Allow the washer to cool down for two hours. If the washer overheats, it will stop the motor and cool down before restarting.

Close the door completely. The washer will not operate if the door is not securely closed.

I hope the above helps.

Good luck.

Washer is not spinning fast enough clothes are wet at one point i think i put in too much soap and it said draining problem

If this is a HE front load washer. MAke sure your drain hose is not shuved too far down the drain pipe. Water will syphen back into the washer and clothes will be wet. Drain hose should be in drain pipe 8 inches. See you ownwers manual for drain hose recomemdations. Reason why it says drasining problem is because maybe water is sysphening back into washer and pump is taking long to drain and operating too long and washer senses it. So check your drain hose and make sure its not to far down the drain pipe..re adjust if it is and wash your clothes and see if problem persists...hope this helps

Washer wont drain water

It won't drain If your washer won't drain, check these:

It spins, but doesn't pump
It doesn't spin or pump
It pumps, but the water returns
It spins, but doesn't pump If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.
