The posible problems are;
1. Their is a water compartment behind the drawers on the bottom in the fridge side this might be freezed. So you can use a hair dryer with a warm air try to melt the ice. If this is the case udjust the temperature setting a litle more higher not happen again.
2. The water filter is coggled so you must replace it.
3. Water line pressure is very low so water can not pass thought the fridge.
4. Water solenoid valve is ither faulty or coggled you need to check it.
Good luck

I assume that you have water in door, if so this is a different solenoid than the icemaker.

You can get water for drinking but no water at icemaker. Do this:

Pour ice maker tray full of water, if it dumps ice after it freezes then you need to replace the

ICEMAKER solenoid valve which means the drinking water valve too since they come together.

If it doesn't dump ice cubes after it freezes then you need to replace the icemaker.(easy)

The solenoid is the thing that the water line from the wall attaqches to in the back of ref.

parts house can help tremendously if you ask when you purchase the water valve assembly.

O.k Lets check the defrost system if it's not freezing that definitely the problem with the icemaker.

    Do This:

First put your hand on the compressor. if its too hot to touch very long then there is a compressor problem or condensor coil restriction

Is the condensor fan running next to compressor?

Is the fan inside the freezer running?

To check the Defrost system, remove the back panel inside the freezer and see if the coils are restricted by ice on the coils

If It is a defrost problem since the ice that freezes on the freezer coils
is not being melted by the defrost system.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician butyou could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info Also check evaporator fan in freezer If this was helpful please rate me

Check the plugs behind it to make sure that they are properly plugged in. Then check to see if the on and off switch is on If all fails get your voltage meter and check at the switch to malke sure that it is getting the any voltage. trace the voltage all the way to the switch that works the ice dispenser. If you are gettin g voltage there go to the rotor motor to see if voltage is getting to the motor. The problem will probably be at the dispensor switch but corroded or faulty wireing could be the problem. If all the switches check out and you have voltage going to your motor. The motor could be bad.

What's the temp. in the freezer? Should be below +10F, otherwise you have a bad ice maker most likely.

Leak on the ice maker water supply

Good day,
The house water supply is connected to a dual water valve on the bottom rear of the machine. It splits there going to the ice maker and water in the door.
If the ice maker side is feeding water to the ice maker even though the ice maker is in the off position means the diaphragm in the valve is leaking and must be replaced. Very common problem.

ICE MAKER

Your ice maker works off a different side than the water dispenser. Most times the water control valve is the problem yet it has 2 sides one for water and the other for ice. You can check the ice maker by filling with tap water. Let it freeze and if it dumps the ice and tries to refill I would say the water control valve part number 4389177 will need to be replaced. The in-door water stopped working. The ice maker still gets water, but there is no water coming out of the door dispenser.

You more than likely have a bad water valve. Unfortunately, the water valve is a double valve ,one side services the ice maker, the other side the water dispenser.Even though the ice maker is getting water the whole valve has to be replaced. Hope this helps

Ice maker not making ice

Water solenoid to ice maker not working. Check with ohm meter..should NOT read open
Water line to Ice maker frozen solid. Look at water inlet to ice maker....is ice present in line?
Evaporator coils frozen over with ice. Will cause water line to freeze and unit will slowly thaw.
Try unplugging the unit for several hours and see if it starts to cool normally again. If it cools normally then check heater element and Defrost Thermostat.
