One of my additional hand sets isn't working correctly. It rings like normal and you can hear people, but they can't hear you. It is almost like the microphone stopped working, but if you blow in the phone really hard then you can hear it on the other end so it is almost like it is muted in some way (and yes I made sure it was not muted). The person on the other line can even hear you when you push buttons, but not when you speak. We have tried unplugging everything and taking out the battery and waiting a while, but it still does not work. We have tried resetting the base as well and still nothing. We even tried moving the handset closer, but nothing has been working. Help!

it might ring more than 3 times but you dont hear the first few if you are on Increasing Ring Volume. change volume to fixed volume ring.

I'm adding to what has already been posted on this question.
You certainly can re-ring an aluminum cylinder B&S. A ball hone can be used to break the glaze on the cylinder wall. Install new B&S rings gapped at their recommendation or .0035 " per inch of cylinder bore.
Small engines are very resilient and will run in spite of numerous things being not up to spec such as bore taper (which is what you correct when you bore, in addition to removing scarring.)
If you are doing your own work, the cost will be fairly low providing you already have all the normal tools and are good with your hands. Rings, borrow a ball hone, gasket set.
As you get into the rebuild you will see why it is easier to buy a new engine.
It could be a fun project and a good learning experience.

You need to replace your backlight inverter.

Check that all voltages are coming from the power supply as they should. The power supply will be stamped with the correct amounts, and you just read with the multimeter to confirm.

After those check out ok, you will need to replace the inverter to "light" your screen again.


You can hear sound because the tv is ON, but the inverter isn't lighting the screen!

You most likely are not hearing water remaining in the tub. You are hearing the water slosh around in the balance ring that is attached to the spin basket. There is a balance ring attached to the spin basket that is half filled with water. When the basket is turned by hand you will hear the water in the balance ring. This is normal.

Check the following few things firstly:

• When the phone is unlocked, press the volume buttons, which can be located on the left hand side of the phone. Press the top button of the volume, which will show you on the screen when the volume is increased to maximum and try
• Once the phone is unlocked, press the Menu button on the home > Settings > go into Sound. Ensure that the correct ringtone is set with the correct volume level

I am thinking your rings must be worn. As long as the oil is correct weight,and valves are set correctly, then that is what you are looking at

Sound inducers do go bad. Normal the same audio amplifier is used for both the ear piece and the speaker. Since the speak does work, it sounds like the ear piece has died.
