Question about Whirlpool GU2700XTSB / GU2700XTSQ / GU2700XTST Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

I have a whirlpool GU2700XTSQ1 dishwasher. I have the typical top rack not cleaning problem. I have removed the rear washer tube that leads to the top sprayer, no clogs. Upper arm is clear, lower arm is clear. I also removed the lower cover, checked the chopper screen and inlet, no clogs. There is a screen inside that I cannot get to. It appears to have some sort of paper or cloth sticking through the screen with a 50% block. Perhaps a sticker or label from a dish. I see this screen when looking straight down from the top while looking into the main water discharge opening. I can see no way to clean this screen without removing the dishwasher, removing the entire pump assembly, remove motor/impellor assy. and then locating the screen. Is anyone familiar with the screen i'm talking about? it is not the screen that is part of the chopper assy. Thanks for ANY help you may have. My wife doesn't like dirty dishes.....:o).

How do I clean my dishwasher when the top rack is not working properly?

Most likely the small holes in the top spinning arm are clogged and you might need to clean the filter at the bottom of the tub. You can do this yourself and you will notice a huge difference in the way the washer performs. Follow the instructions in the you tube video. I always use Dry jet liquid finisher it helps keep the dishwasher clean. You can run white vinegar through the system as well after you clean the filter.

Glasses in top rack do not come clean

Hello loria... When the top rack no longer cleans like it should check the flexible hose in the rear of that tray for holes. It may even be disconnected, or not lining up with the water supply connection in the rear of the dishwasher.

Check these things, repair or replace as necessary and you will have clean glassware once again. Joe

The top rack dishes are not getting clean. the spra arm is clear and the tube supplying water to the arm is clean. the float is also moving freely.

does this have the water conduit tube going up the inside of the rear wall where you can see it,if so,the conduit "horn" where it connects to the tube that feeds water to the upper arm with repeatedly opening and closing this horn wears out and lets water get past here and lowers water pressure to the upper arm

Clean on bottom rack but dirty on top

Clean the filter at the bottom of the tub. If it is dirty or clogged the water pressure may not be strong enough to spin the top arm. Make sure also the there is nothing blocking the holes of the spinner arm. If the filter and arm are clear then the pump may be failing.

Not cleaning dishes especiialy the ones on top rack. Found some broken glass pieces in bottom. No obstructions in line leading up to top washer. It looks like the pump is not pumping enough water pressure...

If you remove the filter in the sump area underneath the lower dish rack (removing the screws to do so) you may find debris blocking/jaming the impeller area. Be very careful of almist invisible broken glass. Inspect the impeller to make sure it is properly in place and not damaged.
Confirm that the spray arms are not pluged.
If problems continue and the impeller is in good shape, the pump motor may be failing. Please get back to me if problems persist but also include the Make and Model number whe nyou do.

Bosh dishwasher shu3322uc/22

check for leaks where the the top rack plugs into the rear. it might not be sealing. If your unit has the ability to change the top rack height check in the other position and see if it works. In my Samsung (Bosch in disguise) model The tube to the top rack plugs into one of two holes in the rear, depending which rack position I use. Something covers the hole not in use. Bosch uses two seperate pumps for washing and draining. So I don't think the pump could go partially bad. (This happens in other brands when the solenoid gets stuck between pump out and recirculate)

Dishwasher leaves residue in top rack only

Most cleaning problems are caused by the dishwasher not getting enough water. It could be cause of the switch level, which control water level in the tub. The switch level is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with your machine, but if you will open the rear panel you will find it easily. Be aware you should discoonect the power cable !!! Clear the tube (attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub) from any obstruction. In case it will not solve the problem, you should replace the switch. Good luck !
