Question about Sport & Outdoor - Others

Open Question

I have a Tasco ProPoint red dot sight, PDP2ST, AT-99-4. I purchased it in the year 2000. It has quiot working and installing new batteries of the correct size and number does not help. Must be an electrical problem. My question is: Is this piece economically repairable, and if so, how do I get repairs made. Fred Ferrence Nags Head, NC

SOURCE: what size batteries for my tasco propoint, built 1985

Tasco's Contact Information is here

Thier website didnt have an information on scopes that old that i could see. however if you contact them im sure they would know what size the battery needs to be, and would be happy to refer you to a place to purchase them (if not a product they themselves supply)

NOTE Tasco is a European company residing in Spain Madrid. You may be asked to send it overseas to be identified? (worst case scenario) if this is the case be sure to purchase a number of batteries for the device to make it somewhat cost effective

:) (I couldnt find the battery type as i dont know exactly what scope you have :(

SOURCE: What is the voltage number of the battery for a

The battery that is supposed to be used in there is the cr1/3n sometimes called cr13n.
It is a 3 volt lithium battery. 11mm Height x 11.6mm Diameter

In a pinch some folks have had success using 2 stacked lr44 batteries which are the same diameter, but half the height and half the voltage.

You should use the lithium battery.

Good Luck!

What type of battery does the tasco propoint take?

One of those nickle sized batteries, 2032 or the bigger 2430, they are both 3 volts. The battery is under the left side cap. It should say what size it takes someplace on there. Hope this helps.
