If this is a new occurance, and not "since it was installed", it may be the drain impellor. Little fins on top of the impellor sometimes get worn off. It is under the lower wash arm in the pump housing. The only trick to taking the pump apart is not loosing any of the shims.

Go to page 12.$File/F43078.pdf

Also, (and most likely if the unit looses water during the wash cycle), any obstruction to the drain valve can cause it to not drain proper. The drain valve uses a little flapper valve to drain the unit. It has a rubber stopper that needs to properly close. The drain valve is at the front of the unit with a red coil and white plastic body. It needs to be closely inspected. (page 22)

If this is a problem since it has been installed, it is likely due to the running of the external drain line. (Too high)

Water level stays to high, everything else is working fine. just does not go down low enough and next cycle pushed water out over the lip at the front

two issues.
the first is a retricted drain . either the hose is kinked or a blockage at the drain valve, or where the hose joins the sink plumbing. disconnect it from the plumbing and let it run into a bucket to observe the flow.
The second is, the float protecting an over fill is not shutting off power to the fill solenoids in the event of over filling. Try raising the front feet and keeping the rear as low as possible to bias the water to the rear of the tank.

I have a 25 year old KA dishwasher (by Hobart) that is not draining properly. I ran it through a second time and the same thing happened. There is 2" of standing water right now on the floor of the...

The drain usually connects with a flexible plastic hose to the garbage disposal under your kitchen sink. Run the disposal for a minute to see if that unclogs anything.

Remove the hose and blow into it (use a straw and try to make a seal between hose and straw with your hand because old drain pipes taste really bad if you kiss them directly).

Otherwise, your pump may have gond bad - dishwashers do not drain on gravity alone. they all use pumps. Yours may not be worth replacing unless you are really handy and can do it yourself.

Pumps are available and located on the bottom of the unit. Disconnect drain hose. Disconnect circuit breaker. Remove panel by toe-kick and disconnect electical hard-wired connection. Disconnect water (under kitchen sink). Pull it out from under the counter. Order new pump, install and replace. Be careful with the electricity.

Good luck.

Not pumping at end of cycle

Cancell all the pre- set programs. refer user guide. Restart after switching OFF and try.

Still problem continues, only option to reset the system board. This procedure is known to the manufactures service provider. You have to get the sequence from them.

My fisher paykel DD S03SS dishwasher leaks from the top, & drain

The drawers should not leak unless there is a problem with the vacuum seal. Try cleaning the edges of the doors and operate. You should feel the vacuum is holding the doors. The seals could be faulty or vacuum system may be faulty.

About not draining completely - a possibility is the common drain hose after the U adapter being clogged. Remove the clamp and pass a flexible wire coat hanger towards the main drain pipe. If both drawers are not draining then it is unlikely the drain hose between the U clamp and the dishwasher is clogged. Also make sure the height of inlet water pipe and drain outlet is as specified in the installation manual
