you have to keep the white wheels on the rod even or the draw won't close correctly, pull the racks out fully open and even on both sides, you might have to adjust the wheels so both sides are even,i use a marker and mark the wheels, now when you hook the door assy on.you have to make sure the wheels stay in place or when you close the whole unit one side of the door won't close all the wa,it's a little tricky if you never tried to line them up before but if you mark the wheels part numbers 12002497 so both sides stay lined up it will close correctly. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Maytag-Parts/Refrigerator-Parts/Model-MFD2560HES/3048/0161000/M0412077/00009?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=MFD2560HES this is the sears site and will show you a picture of all the parts.hope this helps

The freezer door pops open when the side by side doors are closed.

I have this problem with another French Door refrigerator. We just put a stool in front of the lower drawer to prevent it from opening when the upper doors are shut.

I know this may sound kind of like a simple idea, but it works without modifying the refrigerator.

Good luck on this.

Freezer door doesn't close all the way on one side,

Make sure that there is nothing blocking the drawer on that side. If there is nothing there carefully inspect the drawer closure. There should be a little catch point when closing the drawer that makes it pull closed on it's own. If you are still having an issue you will want to replace the rail/slide assembly.
Good luck!

We have the bottom drawer freezer, top french doors, 3 months old, freezer will not shut all the way and now after door open beep has gone off for an hour the whole unit has gone dark

Make sure nothing has fallen behind the freezer drawer or is hitting the top of the freezer to prevent it from closing. Also check that the tilt open front is in the closed position. If nothing is blocking the drawer the gear wheels that support it may not be in the right position. See Owners Manual for instructions about removing/reinstalling the drawer. When you get the drawer to close you may have to unplug the power cord for 30+ seconds to get the unit to reset and restart.

My freezer is frosting...there is snow all over

In my case with constant snow and frost build-up in my bottom drawer GE freezer, it was because the drawer never properly closed. As one user noted, "there is no adjustment." However, there are "catches" at the rear of the drawer glides and in my case one needed adjustment because it was preventing the drawer from remaining closed tightly. SEE PHOTOS. The photos show many items removed, but to make this repair, you only need a butter knife to pop out the black plastic catch mechanisms at the back end of the drawer glides, and only if you can see that the spring is not properly positioned. Bottom freezer door/drawer won't close all the way on one side.

Remove all the food from the freezer and then the drawer from the cabinet. Now using a silicone based lubricant, lube the tracks up real well. Be sure to clean the tracks first if gunked up. Make sure nothing small fell out of the basket over time and is laying on the floor in the rear of the freezer section. Once done, you should be fine.

Bottom drawer does not properly close

Okay, I fixed it for now. The design for this bottom freezer drawer is not good. What happened was most likely that my son slammed the door, and it bounced and was slightly open. Overnight, ice started to form all over the compartment, including inside the drawer guides. Some ice was probably obstructing the drawer glide from sliding shut.

What I did, not thinking this was the solution, was to prop chairs against the drawer to close it while I searched for answers on the Internet. In the meantime, some of this ice must have refrozen in the closed position (due to the weight of the chairs). When I went to check it later, I had a little trouble opening the drawer. I gave it a hard yank and some small frost flew off, as I opened the drawer.

It was not easy sliding it due to the frost. I then moved it out and in until it felt smooth, and finally closed the drawer and it stayed in the shut position.

Kids are instructed to close the drawer gently and visually check that it is sealed. There is also an air passage between the refrigerator unit and the freezer so that when you close the double french doors, some air pushed to the freezer section and momentarily pops the drawer open. You should make sure that the drawer closes before leaving the kitchen. If you are on vacation, prop chairs to make sure both the freezer drawer and the french doors stay closed. This is important if you're in an earthquake area as a small tremor could open the doors and you'll get a fire when the lights stay on and burn through the wiring (as others have noted).

Freezer door wont stay closed.

If you can pull the freezer drawer out, check to see if there is anything on the floor of the freezer. You can also try reinstalling the drawer. When you take the drawer out make sure that the spring loaded door catches on the sides are facing towards you. That is if it has any.
