Leaking from under refrigerator. Water pan is full but leak seems to be coming from a white part right behind base grille. What is best way to get pan out?

  • Anonymous Sep 01, 2010

There is a white part in front of the drip pan that is bolted to the front rim of the refrigerator bottom. This would need to be removed for the pan to come out the front. The pan seems to be full because there is some kind of leak in the water tubes.

1.Remove the two screws from the base
grille at the bottom and remove the grille.
2.Unhook the front edge of the drip pan and
pull it out the front of the refrigerator.
Reach under the front of the refrigerator
and check the water tubing, nuts and the water valve which is as you have mention white and one of this part become loose and their you have the water leak.
You can pull up the refrigerator on the front side in an slightly icnlinate position by using temporary addition wood legs so you will have a more space for you to work on. However special care must be taken not to bend too much and fall behind.

Yes corect the hook is secure with rivers. Unhook mean that you can push down the drain pan shlightly bended since it is plastic and then pull it out all the way out like a drawer.

Your correct the linking if from the water system, as we have mention you can check the white water tuping parts, nuts, tubbing and water valve and tight them up since one might get loose.

Water leaking under zanuzzi frost free larder freezer

. There is a condensate pan under the freezer side. When the defrost cycle completes it can get quite full. Usually the water dries up with time. If your water filter is down in the toe kick grille, it may be lealing into this pan.

Why does kenmore side by side model 596.50004100 leak water from bottom?

1. there is a condensation pan under refrigerators, pull front bottom grill off & you should see pan. if pan is full it will overflow, pull forward to remove & empty. also check to see if something spilled in bottom of fridge & is running into drain hole into pan. most of the time condensation is so slow that it will evaporate before the pan fills up, but I've had them fill up on me in the past, not too often though.

2. if fridge is equipped with ice maker & clod water dispenser, connections on bottom back side could be leaking ( not likely, unless they have been disturbed).

there is not much else that it could be unless it is not the fridge & is coming from some where else & running under the fridge.

Water leaking on floor

The drain pan should be removed and cleaned at least once a year. The drain pan is located at the bottom of the refrigerator behind the front grill. Remove the grill, which snaps into place. Grasp the drain pan while pulling slightly upward and forward.

Clean the pan with warm soapy water or warm water and baking soda.

If the pan rattles when it is replaced, it is too close to the compressor. Simply reposition the tray.

If you have an ice-maker, check the water supply hose going into and coming out of the water inlet valve. The hoses may be loose here.

Leak from refrigerator bottom when dispensing water

Good day,
The water supply starts at the dispenser, runs thru the door to the door's bottom where it connects to a swivel connector.
From there it travels under the machine and back into the fresh food compartment to a reservoir located behind the crispers where it is chilled.
It comes back out and travels to the filter system if you have one, and from there to the water valve located on the back rear of the machine.

One of the plastic lines or a fittings is leaking.
It's a look-see repair. Should be one person drawing water, while a second should be looking with a flashlight.

Refrigerator leaks

Could be nothing is broken. There is a drip pan under the refrigerator. It accepts water from the defroster. The water is supposed to evaporate before it gets full. It ought to be cleaned periodically, as it gets nasty with mold. Could be the pan is displaced or cracked.
