Question about Acer Aspire 3000 Notebook
I went into my computer to reinstall my Xp Windows but when I dry to recover using my rev CD F12 my compter keeps on turning off every 3 min, the recover will start then it turn it silf off and back on, want to just start new and re-install my computer with windows XP

What you need is a Window XP installer CD which have the SATA driver. Most of the older Window XP CD before 2008 does not support computer with SATA harddisk.
If your BIOS setting permit, change the Harddrive setting eg from IDE to SATA and ICH setting.
