Mitsubishi VS 45609 Blue Shadow On TV Picture

Hi,
I have a MItsubishi VS 45609 Model No manufactured in 2002. When I watch TV I see a blue shadow on the picture. When I try to do a factory default reset it will not correct. I can align the Red convergence, but the Blue convergence will only adjust side to side-NOT up and down. I need to know what actions I should take to correct this problem.
Thanks,
J

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The picture is clear but every thing has a blue shadow effect and all writing has the shadow about 2" under it.

Hi:
Your problem is the blue convergence IC has failed, there are two convergence IC's in this unit and I recommend you have both replaced because if one has failed the other is not far behind, better to do preventive measures now then later. One IC controls the Blue and the other controls the Red and Green convergence.

IM HAVING A SLIGHT PROBLEM

You need service. Sounds like the convergence is out of adjustment. As the picture is formed by a tri- gun arrangement (one for each colour), if any of them is not correctly aligned, you will see shadows on any sharp line like text, or blurring on a picture. The shadow or blurring will often be one colour i e. red, blue or green.
