SOURCE: Changing Pool Timer

As long as you get a new timer that is 220/240v and is the same amperage or larger, you should be fine. Wiring would be the same.

Check your wiring, it sounds like it's not right. The clock needs 120 volts to run.

SOURCE: Describe your Intermatic

is the dial turning, or is it in the set mode, were its not engaged. if it does turn are the trippers tripping the levers. if everything is working make sure the trippers are not bent, this will keep it from engaging anything.

E10694 timer

Scroll down and identify timer:

E10694 is imaginary number applied to all sorts of intermatic timers sold by folks who want their timer to appear unique and rare on internet. It has been used for T101 120V timer, T104 240v timer, T170 series timer with day-skipper, and also with 'cycle' timers... except all timers with rotating dial could be called cycle timers, but 'cycle timers' are normally timers with less than 24 hour rotation period.

I installed a new T104 m for my pool pump. The clock works fine and it works fine manually. The on and off stops do not turn it on or off. The clock goes right past the on and off stops and they don,...

You installed new 240Volt T104 Intermatic timer.
Cause of problem is not determined, so read information below and then add a comment with further observations.

According to question:
Timer is wired correctly.
The on-and-off trippers are installed on dial, but do NOT click the override lever back and forth.
Both ON and OFF trippers are on the dial.
And the timer is NEW and not used, and trippers are NEW and not used.
And the dial rotates and keeps good time, making 1 full rotation each 24 hours.
And the manual override lever works and turns load (pool pump) on-and-off.

Open following link to view photo image of OFF tripper coming in contact with manual override lever.
Trippers are soft metal, and made to wear down. When tripper gets old, it will slide over the lever instead of move the lever.
Open following link to read how to set timer, and see close-up images of timer with trippers on dial, and tripper order number for replacement trippers.

I am trying to learn how to set up the T104 timer etc. I just moved in and there is no manual how to set timer.

Here are two links that will be handy to keep on file:

T104 is 240Volt timer.
When you open the door, there should be piece of translucent plastic covering the wiring.
As long as plastic cover is in place, it is safe to touch visible timer parts.
If you have a child who might stick something into the timer, then lock timer door.
As a general rule with electrical devices, do not stand on bare ground or wet surface or lean into or touch anything metal while working on timer. Put down dry boards. Same with your circuit breaker panel.

The T104 yellow dial rotates just like a clock.
The dial has ON and OFF trippers attached to outer edge of dial.
As these trippers rotate around they move on-off lever that turns the pool pump or Load on and off.
ON tripper moves lever one direction, and OFF tripper moves same lever other direction.
The manual override lever clicks back and forth with audible sound each time tripper moves on-off lever.

Move manual override back and forth and it will turn Load on and off.
Override should snap crisp and clean.

To set timer, lift and rotate dial until current time lines up with stationary silver pointer.
Stationary silver pointer is pointed at 6:00.

Intermatic pool timer E10694 does not turn on. It shuts off okay.

Open following link for troubleshooting checklist:
If dial is rotating, then tripper might need to be replaced.

The problem here is I cannot identify E106 timer
Intermatic product Index, and pool and spa catalog do not show that specific model among digital or mechanical timers.

Maybe you have T106 2-speed pump motor?
Add a comment with in-focus photo of timer you posted on Flickr for possible identification.

How do i reset my pool timer after it has been switched off for awhile

If this is Intermatic box-type timer, lift and rotate dial until current time lines up with silver pointer.

The pointer is stationary at 6:00 position.
Places on-off trippers on dial at times you want pump to operate.
Dial rotates as time passes, and trippers move switch lever that turns circuit on-off.
manual override lever is connected to switch lever, and manual override clicks back and forth with audible sound each time circuit turns on-off.

Buy extra clock motor and trippers at Grainger.

Brand new Intermatic timer for pool, but it will not trip the pool ON...It does trip the pool OFF only??????

So you can turn the pool timer off using manual override.

The center dial is also turning.

These 2 things mean the timer is working fine, but you forgot to put the OFF tripper pins on the dial.

5def96a.jpg Picture shows Off tripper coming in contact with lever that clicks lights on and off. The lever is connected the manual override. So if manual override is working, then the lever is working.

Intermatic Pool timer will not turn off... I have to shut off the pool pump at the breaker... Any suggestions on what the problem might be?

If the pool pump timer is not working, first look and see if the clock dial is moving, if not then you need to check the 120volt breaker that feeds it ,, then you would check the connections on the timer to be certain that they are correct.
