Problem for HTC P3300 Smartphone

Touch screen do not respond

At times, Touch screen does not respond and phone cannot be unlocked by no means, Problem do not get solved even after restarting phone, removing battery & reinserting etc.. This happend typically during nights when the phone is not used and in the morning, touch screen does not respond to do any activities.

- I cannot use / interact using Touch Screen on my HTC p3300 phone. I cannot predict when touch screen freezes to respond. I used lock the phone with a password and when touch screen does not respond, there is no way by which phone can be unlocked. Now I started invoking the cursor and whenever touch screen freezes, I use the cursor and manage some how.

Having the same problem...within one months of purchase, touchscreen became non-functional, then after repairing, within a weeks time, the touchscreen went blank and it hangs quiet often as well. Again given to service centre for repair / swap, whatever they feel. It's ridiculous that they dont replace. this time, after receiving the transreceiver from the service center, if the problem persists, i'm going to drag them to consumer court.That's for sure.- soumya250

if u guys have a htc touch and you just happened to remove the baterry when it hanged.. the touch screen wouldnt work =/... this first time it happened to me.. i went to the dial menu and reseted my phone.. amzingly it worked... but this time my phone hanged again and i removed teh battery. now i cant get into the dial menu and couldnt reset it =(

yes ; reset to factory deafualts by hard reset is that again normal. i also got the same trouble.
to do hard reset search out on google.
you can also flash your complete rom then there will be no such problem

I cannot use Touch Screen option at bottom & top, only center part is ok on my HTC p3300 phone. Secondly keypad does not work with stick but with cursor it is ok. please suggest how to solve this.

could you explain in detail what s happening with your phone??

u said that ur phone cannot be unlocked...but then u say that it happens typically during nights...do u mind elaborating?

- it is possible that ur pda is virus infected and it freezes the touch screen...if that is the case then just reset the device to the factory conditions...
settings-> clear storage
that might help...but do remember to take back up of ur contacts and important files...

secondly if the above step doesnt work then its definitely hardware...moisture, low temperature there could be n number of reasons for that..so just take it to the service centre...
