Question about Royal ezVue 7

I have a Royal ezVue 7 PDA and I can't get the sync software to work. The computer reads and installs the software from the CD, and the desktop software appears to work, but to sync the desktop to the PDA device isn't working. Reading in online forums that the driver is bad or there is some other form of software issue. I have Windows XP

Royal Extreme 7 will not sync properly.
It gets to Deleteing records and locks up.
Both the software and the PDA is then locked into the sync mode.
I have installed newer drivers as instructed by Tech support.
(MwNTXP.inf & rylm100.sys Files)
These files are listed under PDO Desktop>Drivers>WinNY2KXP.
I am using Windows XP Media Center Edition.

I have version 1.5 of the PDO Desktop program.

Is there a later version that works.

Hello.

First, install Desktop Manager on another computer and sync, just as a backup.

Then, before you sync on YOUR desktop, look for the option on the Desktop Manager to copy from the PDA to the desktop only, so you won't lose your data.

Then, after the sync, change the Desktop Manager back to 2-way sync.

Does not recognize my connection for active sync


Dell made an entry into the market of Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) with Axim X5. The Dell Axim comprises of families of X5, X3, X30, X50 and X51. The Dell Axim PDA can be connected to the computer either by using a cradle or a sync cable. The sync cable connects the device to the computer directly. Here are the steps for connecting a Dell Axim to a computer using a sync cable.
  1. p 1 The Microsoft ActiveSync software must be installed in order to connect the PDA to the computer. This software is found in the Dell Axim Pocket PCmag-glass_10x10.gif Companion CD.
  2. Step 2 The Axim X51 PDA has a 36-pin connector, while the X3 has a 22-pin docking connector.
  3. Step 3 Connect the USB connector found at the end of the sync cable to the computer.
  4. Step 4 Check the PDA. If the PDA is not properly cabled to the computer, you will get the following message: “Connect your device to a computer using a sync cable or cradle before running the system update. Ensure that ActiveSync is installed on the computer and that the ActiveSync connection is successful.”
  5. Step 5 Ensure that the Dell logo faces upward.
  6. Step 6 Use the sync cable to set up a partnership, which can be done multiple times when you sign in as a guest.

You're saying you trying to install an appointment on your PDA. Has evrything worked before?

Cannot get PDA Smartphone to sync with computer


software you need to install software
let it install before connecting phone to comp
then after finish the install then connect the phone to usb cable
you might if this didnt work the first time have to uninstall all the software and try a fresh copy of the software in comp to sync everything with desktop manager

Sounds like your PDA is not communicating with the desktop software properly. (is it a refurbished unit?). I would recommend you un-install the desktop software completely, then do a hard reset on the unit. This should start you from scratch. Then, re-install the software and re-boot the TX and configure it, and try a brand new sync. If this doesn't help, you might have to return it. But first, try it with the desktop software on a DIFFERENT computer.

Make backups of the data, and store in some other folder.
Sync, then restore the data

It depends on the software solution. Generally, software packages do not over-write the contents of your phone, but merge. You can usually call your cell phone provider for advice or the software vendor that you are using to perform the sync.
