Remove the bag cover and feel for suction above the motor. If their is suction there then check the bag compartment is sealed. You can drop a coin down the hose to check for blockages all the way to where the bag attaches.
Tear apart all hoses and make sure no clogging, also take apart to expose motor and make sure their is no dust on motor, this will cause symptoms you are describing, another thing check Impeller fan and make sure the fan is running and not blocked if fan is not working then will need to replace Impeller.
did you check the hose to see if there is a slice in it somewhere. Alot of times you can get caught on something or bend it the wrong way and it will crack the hose causing suction loss. The other possibility is a clogged filter somewhere in the system or your bag is too full
Its plugged up. Remove hose from appliance, and see if the cleaner sucks. If so, pull hose in a straight line and push a broom handle through the hose to clear debrie. Re attatch hose and this should clear the blockage
You either have the wrong size belt, most likely too small, or you have installed a new belt incorrectly. When you open the cover on the bottom of your vac, you will see the pulley that moves as you flip the switch from floors to carpet. The belt does not go around this pulley. When activated(carpet) the pulley puts tension on the belt causing it to turn the roller. When switched back to hard floors, the belt looses tension allowing motor to cause suction but disabling roller. Also, the dial on top of vac is only to direct suction, not for disabling roller
Hi, I had the same problem with my Eureka vacuum cleaner. I don't have the problem with the beater bar, but I had the problem with the attachment hose not getting any suction. I found out that I was putting attachment on the wrong end of the hose. The end that you use in the front. Don't how I got that confused because it always worked before. Hope this helps with the hose part of the problem.
Your Power head is blocked with hair or dirt,,or the hose which connects the Upright with the power head is blocked. Try taking a steel coat hanger apart (straighten it out) and then push it into the pickup hose to remove blockage.
