-Press the INPUT button on your TV remote control.
-Cycle through all the inputs on your TV.
-Do this until you are on the INPUT your CABLE or SAT BOX is plugged into.
-You should then see the CABLE or SAT programming show on your TV.
HINT: Your TV will most likely list the TV INPUTS as: HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, VGA, Component 1, Component 2, and so on.

-Plug the HDMI cable or other cables back in.
-Give it some time for the Cable or SAT box to get the signal and initialize.
HINT: Make sure all the cables that are connected to your Cable or SAT box and your TV are tight, undamaged, and secured.

4 – If all of your TVs are affected with the NO SIGNAL screen…
BE SURE THE COAX CABLES OR ETHERNET CABLES ARE SECURE or CABLE OR SAT IS DOWN TEMPORARILY
-Be sure to check the ones where the CABLE or SAT come into your home.
-Be sure ALL Ethernet and Coax cables are secure.
-Call your CABLE or SAT provider to see if there is an outage.
-Realign your Dish if you have SATELLITE.

A compaq sr1000 need to know what no VGA input means. Will no allow my computer to come on

Welcome to FixYa

No VGA input means that the computer is not detecting video input from the video card. Usually you get this message if the video card of your system is not functional, the VGA cable is unplugged or the VGA cable is defective. To try and remedy this problem try these.

Check if you can hear sound coming from the system. If the video card is functioning then you should here the startup audio from windows.

Check the VGA connection on the back of the system. The VGA cable looks like thismalups_6.jpg

Please note that the VGA cable has two screws, make sure that both are fastened correctly

If the VGA cable is plugged in and you cant hear audio coming from the system. Then this would likely be caused by a defective video card on your computer

Hope this helps

Have refurbished Dell Optiplex gx280. Plugged Dynex VGA display cable in & got nothing. Still only seeing the Dell Digital Input Self Test Feature Check bounce around the screen, as if the computer is...

Hi!

If you are able to use a known good monitor with Dell Optiplex GX280, obviously the problem is with the monitor. If you only have one monitor, try to reseat the cable from the monitor going to the blue port if its analog (white port if its digital). if it does the same thing tried to open the chassis then reseat the video card (check this site for the instruction for the manual, http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/opgx280/en/ug/index.htm)
if you still dont get anything on the screen, most likely the problem would be the video card.

If you tried to connect the monitor to a laptop make sure to toggle it using FN and F8. Toggle it three times and observe if you'll be able to see display either on one screen or both. if you're able to see something on the laptop and nothing on the monitor then its a problem with the monitor.

Hope this helps!

Hello so on my monitor i have two vga in slots and one of them works and the other keeps saying cable not connected and it stays a black screen so everytime i want to play on my xbox i have to unplug and...

Usually when a PC monitor like this one has multiple inputs, there is an input change button (much like the one on a TV). It might be hidden in a menu. Make sure that when you have both devices connected and turned on that you're switching to the correct input in order to view the other device. It's very unlikely that it will switch automatically.

If you're viewing the correct input and you're still not getting a signal from your Xbox, it could be a defective monitor connection. Try switching the cable first: use the cable that you know works and connect it to the second input to make sure that it's not a cable problem.

If the cable is fine but the second input still isn't working, the monitor input connector is probably malfunctioning. Depending on how long you've had it and if it's still under any kind of warranty, you may want to contact Acer for further support and see if they can either fix it or replace it for you.

Hope this is helpful!

Try connecting the RCA cables to your TV's input jacks, make sure it says Audio input. Also, some TV's do not support audio in for VGA cables, if they do it's usually a 3.5mm jack labeled PC Audio or PC Speakers.

Hp w1907 keeps auto adjusting every 5 - 20 seconds

happened once to me, (I have this exact monitor), heres what i did that fixed it:

Unplug all cables from monitor, leave it unplugged for a few mins.

Replug cables in starting with first the power then let it come up,
then plug in the VGA cables, and see if that fixes it. If not use the buttons on the front to switch input channels and maybe you can get it that way.

Why does the monitor say input not support on my screen, and it keeps moving all around my screen. Please advise

Your computer's videocard is set to resolution/refresh rate that your monitor does not support. Turn on the computer and keep pressing F8 until the windows boot menu appear on the screen. Use arrow keys to choose VGA mode. You will get bigger than usual icons on the screen. Use Display properties from Control Panel to set the proper resolution.

How to get laptop connected with vga connector to

Unplug the television. Connect the VGA compatible monitor cable from the laptop's VGA monitor Output to the VGA Input on the back panel of the television. You will need a splitter to connect the audio cable from your laptop to the VGA Audio Input on the television. Never mind if you have speakers connected to your computer.

Press the Device button on the remote control or on the television front panel to display the Device Selection Menu. Select the device you want to view, in this case VGA. The only compatible resolution is 640X480 at a sync rate of 60 Hz.

Do not leave stationary or letter-box images on-screen for extended period of time to avoid uneven picture tube aging.

Try different cable, if you still get the problem after replacing cables, then you have a defective sygnal board (input board).
