Question about Sx Guitars SX SST SE CAR + GA1065 STCAD Red Electric Guitar Package with Full Size Gui

I've plugged my SX RST guitar into the SX GA-1065 amp but I can't get sound to come from the amp. I've made sure everything is plugged in and adjusted, but it still won't work. Why can't I get it to play?

Test the amp cable by plugging in the guitar cable an touching the end of the cord and you should get hum from the amp if the volume controls are up.

Many guitars require a battery to operate the preamp inside them.. Verify if yours needs a battery and it is fresh and properly installed.

These batteries are turned on by plugging in the guitar cable into the guitar. Leaving the cable in will exhaaust the battery, often within a day.

Pa800 no sound

I'm not sure, but I believe this has a small sound card inside like in a pc and later model guitar amps. This card runs reverb and things like that and it also may have a small power plug going to it. I have found on many guitar amps that when this plug gets dirty, or possibly just a weak connection, they usually create static noises and then it echoes that noise. I hope this helps you.

Marshall MG30FX loud tapping sound in time with delay even when no guitar plugged in and effects turned off

Hi J Wade. I'm Dave P. I'm not a guitar amp expert or technician but I've been using amps and effects for 35 years and there are a couple things I can suggest.

That kind of periodic noise/switch noise can be a symptom of having the polarity of the amp reversed. If your amp has a 3-position OFF/ground switch, try reversing the ground. If it doesn't, take the plug and turn it around. Just don't get near a microphone unless you're sure your amp is grounded the same as the P.A. It could fry your lips off.

Dirty switches to that too. You said the noise is in time with the delay's tap time which is set by a foot switch. If tapping that switch the first time generates a pop, the delay may have catch it and is repeating it. Turn off the amp, remove the delay foot switch and turn it back on. Still noisy? If not, give the foot switch a good cleaning.

When you turn the EFFECTS knob up, is it scratchy? Might need the potentiometer cleaned. What happens when you specifically turn the DELAY level down all the way while using the other effects? Noise still there?

That's all I've got. Hopefully, it was helpful. Don't wrack your brain over this too much. There could very well be an internal problem with your amp that will require a trip to the shop. You don't want to open it up yourself. Rock on but be safe.

The amp does not work at all even though the lights on the amp come on but when i connect it to the guitar no sound whatsoevva i checked the sound nobs on the guitar and the amp n all r ok but no soun

Have you checked a different cable?. Also, when you plug in the unit, there should be a "pop" if everything is turned on. If there isn't, the connection is bad someplace.

SX BA1565 amplifier - loud hum when powering up. No amplifying function with an input - hum all the way!

Power amp chip or transistor has shorted to one of the power supply rails. Do not use until repaired as it is likely driving high DC current into the speaker.

I bought my Taylor acoustic/electric brand new. It sounds great, but when i plug it into my amp no sound comes out. I replaced the battery, but it still failed to work. When i plug it in to the amp and...

IF YOUR GUITAR has a built in tuner, make sure the tuner is off as it disables output while tuning... The other thing is to check if you have a volume control on the guitar that might be set too low.. Make sure if you are using 1/4 inch plug guitar cable that it is NOT a TRS balanced cable, as that will turn off the power in the guitar.

My Tascam CD GT1 mkii guitar trainer is doing everything except when I plug my guitar into the unit, I can not hear my guitar?

Here is the manual if you don't have one:http://www.tascam.com/details;9,21,23,19.html Make sure your guitar cord is working. Make sure your are plugged into the Guitar/Mike input jack.Do not connect a guitar amp to this jack via line out on the amp or otherwise. Set the Guitar/Mike switch to Guitar. Use the Input control to adjust the level of the input.Adjust your Headphone level using the Output control.Carefully read pages 12, 13, 14 and 15 of the manual. There are various combinations of controls that would make your guitar too quiet to be heard. Example: Mix Balance page 24. Let me know if this helps.

ARE THE SX SJM-62 GUITARS ANY GOOD. IT HAS P90 PICKUPS

Here is one review:http://www.guitarplayer.com/article/2007-sx-sjm/may-08/35307 Whether they are any good is always a personal choice. Some things to consider are: Does it have good action? Does it stay in tune? Does it sound good through your amp? Can you adjust the parts( pickup height, bridge , neck etc.) Some people have been buying them and then modding them with better parts. They seem to be a reasonable bargain for the price. Notice the link I recommended was for a different model. Look on the net on some guitar forums to see what other players have to say. If you can, find someone who has one that will let you try it out. Here is a video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1CQWi8orqA Hope this helps.

Electric Guitar wont play through Amp

the buzzing is indicative of an open ground connection, check the cord by substitution or with an ohm meter, if the cord is good look at the connections to the jack inside the amp ( im guessing you built the amp from a kit). Is this a solid state amplifier? Tube amps have lethal votages and should not be experimented on without knowledge of electronic safety. Also if there is more than one input to the amp try plugging the guitar into another one and see if its still the same.

I have just purchased a Yamaha EG012 and a Yamaha GA-15 Amplifier. I've followed the instructions adn plugged everything in, but when i turn on the amp and adjust the volumes there is just a buzzing noise...

You may have a switch with 2 settings somewhere on your amp - one for active and one for passive. try changing that.

If this doesn't work, make sure you got the guitar in the line input, change the lead for another incase it's faulty, turn the volume up on the guitar to activate the pickups, and rock-out when you find the problem and fix it.
