Look inside at the freezer at the back.
If you see ice like snow at the back your ref is frozen and can be a thermostat or heater

Vegetables in crisper are frozen, as well as liquids in bottom 1/2 of fridge door. The fridge & freezer temp controls won't adjust to our settings. Also, we're getting ice, but no water will dispense.

The freezer cools the refrigerator, so you actually get very cold air passing from the freezer to the refrig. The air from the freezer enters the refrig on the top and falls to the bottom where it is drawn back into the freezer. The temperature of the refrig is regulated by a thermostat and a fan that runs when the thermostat calls for cooling. If the refrig thermostat is faulty and causes the fan to run more than it should, there will be a freezing problem in the refrig at the bottom because cold air falls and warm air rises. If the refrig is thermostat is calling for cooling constantly, this will take more cold air from the freezer than is normal. Your freezer temp might be higher than normal and the refrig will be colder then desired. If the fan from the freezer is running constantly I would suspect a bad refrig thermostat.

GE pss25ngnacc____refrigrato is to cold can't control tem

start by putting freezer control on half way on the numers. lets say it goes to ten set on five, do the same on refrig side . let run for 24 hrs. so it can stabalize. if it is ok in freezer and things are frozen and too cold in fridge side turn the refrig side to one smaller number. check again in 24 hrs. don't keep opening the door so that it can stabalize. if that doesnt work then it could be the cold control not senseing the temp of the refrig.

Refrig is too cold, Freezer won't go below 2 degrees

have you readjusted the temps on each control, possibly you have the refrige side set too cold and this will reduce freezer cooling

Just had a new compressor installed. My refrigerator side by side is too cold. I have set the control to ''factory set'' but still is too cold. Adjusted to lower setting, still too cold, below 30. What is...

check the freezer compartment temperature.should be around zero.if it is around zero but to cold in the refrig compartment you would be looking for a air flow problem, many refigerators have motorized dampers, they sometimes freeze,or break and allow too much cold air into refrig.if freezer is below zero your looking at a control issue

Water wont dispense but still makes ice. Also fridge side gets extremely cold no matter the settings and freezes stuff in the bottum drawers

Since your freezer control is the main thermostat , and your refrig control is only a damper , lower your freezer setting and turn the refrig control mid way . This will make the refrig run less , and keep the air flow moving , throughout the complete unit . When the airflow stops , by turning down the refrig control ( closing the damper ) , all the cold air will settle in the refrig section , thereby freezing everything in the lower section .
Since the water line runs thru the freezer door , too cold in the freezer section , will cause the water in the line to freeze . I would also suggest installing a dispensor heater ( pt. # WR49X10173 ) , which would hopefully avoid water line freeze , in the future . This part comes with installation instructions .

My Maytag Plus side by side is cold in the freezer but not cold enough in the refrig part despite turning the refrig control to a colder setting. No air seems to be blowing out of the air circulator vent.

this is usually a problem with evaporator fan not turning when the unit is running.check the freezer compartment and listen to the fan if it running. if it is not running it needs to be replaced.one good indication is ice or frost build up on the rear of the freezer compartment

ED25PQDW01 side by side refrig -freezer is inconsistent. Need to have full cold to maintain freezer temp. cleaned coils, but still an issue.

Do you see a light coat of frost in freezer section about 12 inches up (defrost problem indication) ? Has the icemaker slowed down a bit in ice production ? What is the refrigerator control set on ? When you turn the freezer up completely , it cuts off the cold air flow which cools the refrig section . If refrig control is set mid way , turn it up higher , so refrig will run longer , but lower the freezer setting so some cold air will enter the refrig section . Also check to see if the freezer fan is working .

Freezer inop; water dispenser inop

Refrig. cant work unless the freezer is working ...all cold in produced in freezer and circulated to refrig. check freezer for frost build up and if fan is blowing, check condenser, make sure its clean, and fan blowing, check vents in refrig. make sure no blockage, controls should be in the middle setting, check make sure compressor is running
