Who can repair the hands of the clock?

You can try putting some tinfoil on the dial arbor (making it fatter) or take a pair of pliers and gently squeeze the base of the hand to make it smaller. The tin foil method is much more forgiving if you make a mistake.

Why does my hands free link hang up my calls?

Try going to settings and update software. It should download the latest software and fixes for your device. Note: this is a known problem with Samsung Galaxy s series devices when mobile or moving.

No dial tone on hand set battery is new lights up

Make sure your connection to the phone jack is secure.
Use another wired phone to make sure connection is good to your phone.
Secure connection in back of phone, and plug it in. The base MUST have power to transmit the signal to the handset even if the handset has a fresh charge.
Although the handset is normally linked to the bases, check to make sure via the instructions. To determine if the base recognizes the handset, press the "LOCATE HANDSET" button.
If the hadset responds, the links is there.

Hope this helps

I get a message hand-set not in range. No charge light. Hook up appears OK. Second home phone works properly. Prior to problem I tried to dial a local no. but entered 8 nos. Phone says searching or...

Dialing the 8 numbers should not cause a problem.I have a few suggestions, you may have tried a couple already.Hang up the problem phone on the base unit for about 30 seconds. If that does not help, remove the battery for a few seconds and try the 30 second hang up again.Try unplugging the base unit for a half minute.I am trying to get it to reset itself and link to the base.Is the second phone part of this system too?We had a Uniden and I personally thought it ended up being garbage and will probably never buy another one.If you end up deciding to buy a new phone, the new technology is DECT 6.0 and is supposed to have better range from the base, clearer sound to name a few things. The strange thing about it is that it operates at 1.9 GHz.Also,if you decide on a new one, google DECT phones. There are all kinds of forums about peoples opinions/ratings of ones they have bought and used for a period of time.If you have any questions, just comment on this post and I will get an auto email saying you posted.Good luck! Uniden 1725 no dial tone

I had the same problem as long as they are plugged in correctly and you put the #2 handset into the #1 cradle to register it to your base then try hanging the phone up several times. These are expandable phones so that I believe you can keep adding other handsets. So sometimes they think you have a few more handsets than you really have so when you hang up it may not know what handset you are hanging up #1 #2 or #3 #4 etc. So I had to keep hanging them up until it finally hung up. Then I had to re install them so it knew I only had 2 hand sets. So then you start from the beginning, like when you took it from the packaging. I hate these phones. I ended up replacing them with different ones. Plus I always keep a rotery phone laying around put away because during a power outage you still can plug in an old dial phone and it will work! Nothing like old technology.

Person on the other end receives a bad feed back when I am talki

This may be caused by a few things.

1. Check the configuration dial on the left hand side of the base to see if another setting works better. The recommended setting for most phones is 1.

2. Make sure your speaking (transmit) level is not too high. First, try lowering the volume on the telephone. If you still hear distortion, adjust the volume of the headset. The master transmit controls are the ABCD switch settings on the bottom of the base. A is the lowest and D is the highest setting. You can fine tune this setting with the Plus (+) and minus (-) buttons on the back of the base that are above and below the picture of the microphone.

3. Double check the battery has a full charge.

The Amber Charge light on the base will flash while charging and will stay solid amber when fully charged.

3 hours = full charge

4. Make sure the headset has been paired to the base.

RE TRU 9480-4 I have this system and it quit working

Sounds like it had not released from a conference call. Try pressing to off or hang-up buttom on these sets.
If this does not work try removing the batteries from those sets for atleast 5 minutes and then replace the batteries.
Conferencing
If you have more than one handset, up to four people can participate in a conference call. A four-way conference call consists of an outside line, two handsets, and the base speakerphone. You can easily join a call already in progress.
Press [/flash] or [] on the handset or [] on the base to join the call.
To hang up, return the handset to the cradle or press [] on the handset or [] on the base. The other party will still be connected to the call.

GE Phone Model 25881

Per the instruction manual, there is supposed to be a switch on the base (look on the back or bottom) for TONE/PULSE mode. Here is a link to the manual: http://www.home-electronics.net/GE/ProductDownloads/25881EE3_IB.pdf In the "troubleshooting" section, there is this entry: Dial tone is OK, but can?t dial out: Make sure the TONE/PULSE setting on the base is set to the type of phone service you are subscribed to.
