Help me connect printer to laptop

My friend just gave me a used lexmark printer I am trying to hook it up to my laptop,it did not come with any kind of cd rom, my laptop is aware that i have somethin connected but it does not let me print anythin out,it says something about a disk, or cd rom or something like that, I just got a laptop so I am new with all of this.please help me connect this printer to my laptop
I baught a used lexmark X3350 series and it didn't come with any kind of instructions or a cd and I am having trouble hooking it up. Do you think that you can help me?
