Have recently bought a 2 stoke ( 1 part oil to 50 petrol) hedge cutter. Prime it in start position 7 times as reccommended. But terrible problems starting it. Have used it 3 times and it takes up to half...

If you are not using fresh fuel, change the fuel and replace. Although you will still have fuel in the carburetor and the lines. If you do not remove and drain it may take a little while to get it to start, but should be a lot less then what you are doing now.

You can use any brand of two stroke oil as long as it says on the container that it is suitable for air cooled engines and you need to mix it at a ratio of 25 to 1. Regards Phil

I want to check if a makita rbc 230 brush wood cutter runs on petrol (neat) or two stroke mixture

I think the model your speaking of is the RBC30. It is a 2 stroke mixture. The 430 models are 4 stroke and do not require mixing oil and fuel. They are made by Ryobi for Makita.

Here is the RBC 30

RBC30SESA
  • Powerful 30cc 2-Stroke Petrol Engine
  • Easy-Start Carburettor
  • Expand-It™ Attachments Compatible
  • 18"/46cm Cutting Path Width
  • 2 Year Domestic Warranty
Info on the 430

RYRBC430SES
  • New 4 Stroke Design
  • Light in Weight 7.3kg
  • Safe Anti-kick Feature
  • Reduced Noise Levels, Lower Emissions
  • 2 Year Warranty
This is pretty much the entire line up of their brush cutters:

There is not a 230 model.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

What mix of 2 stroke oil do I use for a Stihl hedge trimmer, in other words how much 2 stroke oil do I put into 5 litres of petrol. Thanks.

if using top quality 2 stroke oil

you put 100 mils of oil into 5 litre container and add 5 litres of fuel only that is 50:1 petrol oil ratio

MY MAKITA DPC6410 PETROL SAW IS RUNNING SMOKEY

It uses 2 stroke oil during combustion as it is a 2 stroke powered engine..Sometimes it may be a small deposit of oil and the bottom of the gas container which causes this smoke or else you may have added a bit more oil than needed in the fuel..I assume it is a 2 stroke engine and also note these do give out a little bit of smoke..

What is the gas & oil mixture for ryobi 26cc 22in hedge trimmer

If it is a 2 stroke engine, a 50:1 ratio should work. That's 50 parts gas to 1 part oil.
