I sell used Honda 5518 tractors & attachments and have over 8 years experience working on them. You may have damaged the transmission gears that engage the rear wheels and only the front wheel drive output shaft is now operating. Easy way to check is to drain the transmission oil to see if you have an grey or silver metalflake in the oil and/or if any small gear chunks come out. If so, you have done some bad damage to the gears and maybe to the internal housing. Usually not a fixable scenario. I have a used rear transmission available if that is the case.
Does your tractor have the factory Honda Ohtsu tires on it or an aftermarket brand?

Here is a link to a unit I have for sale: http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/grd/1903593585.html

Contact me directly through there. Thanks, Mark

I have a 1996 Honda crvJapanese model with no manual. How do I work out weather it is all wheel drive or not and as it has 2 diffs both front and rear how does the 4 wheel drive operate.

its a 4 wheel drive and has a transfer gearbox to split the drive 40/60% between front/rear by using a clutch in the transfer box with a silicon compound in the clutch plates to allows it to grip or slip when needed (simple answer) but they are unreliable. and can cause rapid tyre wear and noise a lot of people remove the rear propshaft and leave front wheel drive only

2007 Honda CRF 250 R front wheel removal

Hi, Carreraracin if you are going to work on your bike from minor maintenance to major surgery you're going to need tools and information on how to use them. A basic tool kit will set you back a bare minimum of $100 depending on how frugal and clever you can be, other factors like the year-make-model of your bike, your location and the amount of "DRACHMA" you are willing to part with, may drive the price higher. These are the tools you will need, # 1-3 are the mandatory first and best tools you will buy otherwise the rest are useless:
1. Service or repair manual, you would not go to a place of worship without taking your Bible, Quran, Torah, Vedas etc. you would not work on your bike without a having a service or repair manual. You can go online and Google free service manual to download for the year-make-model of your bike or try "manualslib.com" a free website or try "Tradebit.com" most manuals cost $15.
2. Parts manual or microfiche I use "partsfish.com" it has free listings of the top 4 Japanese bikes, including the year-make-model, picture of the part, the part number and the price.
3. Owner's or User manual will have maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, and information not found in the service manual. These are also free if you know where to look.
I recommend you folks that live in the U.S.A. to purchase all tools at you local "Harbor Freight" they have the cheapest prices. For the rest of the world, you can order online from "harborfreight.com" American Motorcycles will use SAE measurements on tools the rest of the world will use Metric.
4. Small toolbox 9"x10"x19" or larger should be fine for a starter.
5. A basic set of combination wrenches.
6. A basic set of screwdrivers.
7. A basic set of 3/8" drive 12 point short sockets with a rachet.
8. A basic set of 1/4" drive short sockets with a rachet.
9. A basic set of Allen wrenches.
10. A basic set of Torx bits.
11. A basic set of pliers including side or wire cutters
12. A spark plug wrench or deep socket.
13. A 24oz. or 680-gram brass hammer.
14. A multimeter.
15. Electrical tape.
16. A 6" pocket steel ruler.
The rest you can purchase as needed.

My lawn tractor pulls to the right when driving can i fix this?

The Toe In/Toe Out will have to be adjusted (if the steering rods to each front wheel have sleeves), just like on a car.

Toe-in is the operating angle of front wheels on a riding tractor. If the front edge of the wheels point inward, towards each other, then the wheels have toe-in. If the front wheels point outward, the unit has toe-out (or negative toe-in). Adjustment of toe-in is necessary to maintain proper steering control.
Unlike automobiles, our tractors have pre-set camber and caster settings. Therefore no camber or caster adjustment is necessary.
Acceptable toe-in adjustment range for all of our lawn & garden tractors is anywhere between 1/16"-5/16". With 1/8" serving as the optimal range.
Detailed toe-in adjustment procedures for the various models of tractors are reviewed in the "Adjustments" section of the Operators Manual for the tractor.
If tires are not toed-in properly after adjustment, it is likely that other part(s) need service or adjustment. axles, wheel bushings, control arms and other steering components may be worn or damaged and will need inspection. Service these items as needed.
You haven't stated your make and model, so I can't send you the manual with the exact procedure for your machine.

Is Honda CRV cars four wheel drive?

Hi

The CRV is produced in both front wheel drive and four wheel drive versions. However in UK and Australia it is only available as a 4 WD as the front wheel drive option is not available in these countries.

The answer to your question therefore is that it is produced in both 2 WD and 4 WD but is dependant on what country you live in and the model variant.

Hope this helps. Please do rate my answer. Thanks.
