Question about Philip Stein Teslar Watches

1 Answer

I just bought a Philip Stein "sport" watch model 268023. It arrived yesterday but I don't believe that it came with any instructions. The stem has 2 clicks. The outer click lets you adjust the time. For some reason on my watch the inner click (which comes before the final click that locks the stem) has no effect on either of the two subdials on the watch. And, for that matter, I can't tell what either of these subdials are for.It is very hard to read. Do you know what subdial is for what function, and do you know what I should do to adjust each of the subdials for my use?

I have a ladies Philip Stein, w, double movement. Tried to buff crystal. Now neither movement is working. Batteries are OK

If the stems are in the time positon and the batteries are ok what probably happened is extreme heat. You tried to polish a mineral crystal and it got hot. The only type of crystal you can polish is acrylic. Most of these models come with mineral crystal or scratch proof sapphire crystal. I recommend going to a watch maker/technician and having the movements replaced. A reputable watch maker/technician will be pretty reasonable.

Watch repair

They have been flipping the chips instead of replacing them. This is not TESLAR this is PHILIP STEIN. If the chip look like a different color it has been flipped and you have been scammed! They also might take the teslar chip out completely and replace it with a new "alloy module" which does not work at all!
