The most-common symptom is random "freezing" of your computer, requiring a power-off/power-on sequence to "reset" your computer.

At least you did not indicate cold air which is a thermostat issue and stuck vent door plus failing water pump. Your symptoms are tempters sending switch -check vale or air in the system which the bleeder vale should be bleed to remove air out the system that would elevate the roblem

The blue light keeps flashing on and off on my Seagate 4Tb XHD. It won't show up on the finder as connected. What causes that?

follow these steps:
  1. Make sure the computer and external hard drive are powered on.
  2. Safely remove the drive from the computer (if possible).
  3. Disconnect the external drive's USB or FireWire cable.
  4. Disconnect the power supply plug from the external drive.
  5. Power off the computer.
  6. Disconnect the computer's power supply cord for 60 seconds.
  7. Reconnect the computer.
  8. Power on the computer.
  9. Connect the power supply to the external drive.
  10. Connect the drive's USB or FireWire cable and check for detection.
If that does not correct the behavior, and if the drive is also not detected by your computer, the blinking light is probably a symptom of a larger problem. If those steps do not return the drive to correct function, it is very possible, even probable, that the drive has failed and needs to be replaced

How do I make the volume from my speakers louder than my computer speakers?

depending on the auxiliary speakers you have, there needs to be a power source (either batteries, a power supply, or an ac cord); and the power needs to be turned on. Symptom sounds like you don't have the external power connected or turned on.

The item "IMB_0541.MOV" could not be moved because "TOSHIBA EXT" cannot be modified.

There are several possible causes for this symptom. It's possible that the external hard drive isn't getting enough power. Make sure that it's power adapter is connected correctly and working. If it's powered through USB only, try connecting it to another USB port on your computer (avoid plugging it into USB hubs and using long and thin USB cables).

Unplug the hard drive completely for at least 10 seconds, power off your computer in the mean while, power it on again (not a direct restart) and see if it resolves the issue.

Try to connect the drive to another computer and see if the issue persists. If the drive has the same issue on several computers, there might be a severe problem with the drive. If that's the case, start shopping for a new external drive. There's a chance for simple data retrieval though. If it's the electronics in the enclosure, the actual hard disc drive is probably still fine. If that's the case, you can find a way to open the enclosure (do a Google search with the precise model name and you'll probably find a tutorial) and you can install the hard drive in a desktop computer, a hard-drive docking station or another enclosure. Try to find a computer-savvy cousin/nephew to help you with this.

You've got a loose connection between the laptop and the internal screen. Take the computer to a qualified technician, tell him/her the symptoms, especially the part about the external monitor working fine, and pay the technician to fix it.

Not powering up with steady orange power light

Did any one open the system, after which you are facing this problem?
If the 4 pin power connector is disconnected, you will face the same symptom.

This symptom can also appear if you have any external or internal devices electronically failed / Short circuited. Remove any external devices even external hard drive, flash memory devices, camera, printers etc and then restart the computer.

There is also a possibility of flea power, remove the power cable from the tower and press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, this will drain charge from the capacitors from the motherboard.
then connect the power cable and test if your issue is fixed.

if the issue is still not resolved, then we have to remove any internal devices, eg, add on sound card, video card, modem etc and then try powering up, if the issue persists there could be a problem with either the motherboard or power supply, which needs parts to be replaced and tested.
