Hi

If your refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker the water valve will snap on when the ice maker is calling for water. This is normal. In some cases you may not have the water connected to your ice maker and the sound will be greater. In these cases, pull the wire signal arm (bail arm) on the ice maker in the up position to turn your ice maker off until the water supply line is installed.

Hi,
It sounds like you have a water flow problem. I would inspect the unit for ice building up in or around the freezer fan motor. If the ice is forming in side the freezer, the trouble could the a restriction in the fill tube. But this does not affect the water dispenser. The noise you hear could be the water line moving when water flows through the line, or your water valve itself could be the problem, like the valve shutters when in use.
The valve is easy to check, its located behind the unit in the back left corner. Remove the screw holding the valve in place, while dispensing water hold the valve and see if the issue is only the valve. If the valve is the issue this could cause both problems you have. Part number 67005154

Noise in the water heater valve. How do I fix it?

Valve is not identified.
Cold water shut-off valve, TP valve, check valve, mixing valve, drain valve are the usual suspects associated with electric water heater.
Gas water heater has additional valves: gas shut off valve and gas control valve thermostat.
Check valve, TP valve and mixing valve probably need replacement.
If drain valve is leaking, put garden hose cap over end.
Shut off valve probably has a bit of blockage, or is not completely open. Try closing and then opening shut-off valve all the way, and if problem persists, replace or clean out valve.

What kind of noise? Are you sure the noise is from a valve or is it inside the tank caused by sediment build-up inside of tank?

Have you taken the hose off of the back of the washer and checked to see if you are getting water to that point. Also check the inlet screen on the fill valve to see if it is clean.. You may need to replace the fill valve. There may be a screen in the inlet of the hose at the shut off valves.....So check both ends of the washer hose..... I would check the hoses first before I would replace the fill valve....Hope this helps

Turn on dishwasher hear noise solenoid clicks water valve works but no force of water to turn tines and no clean.

Sounds like you may have a bad solenoid valve. you can check this by opening line that feeds the valve to see if you have sufficient water flow. GET SOME TOWELS READY THIS MAY GET A LITTLE MESSY!
  1. turn off the water valve that feeds the dishwasher.
  2. remove the line to the dishwasher solenoid valve.
  3. slowly turn water back on that feeds the dishwasher.
  4. verify sufficient water pressure flows onto the towels.

No water

Problem one : check to see if the float switch is stuck in the up position. The float is located usally in the front right or lift corner. Moving it up and down should make a clicking noise. If no clicking noise is heard. Remove front kick plate. (4 screws) and check switch with electrical meter. If still no water check to see if there is voltage to water inlet valve. If there is power to the inlet valve and still no water. Replace water inlet valve. There is two screws holding the valve in place and a coper line to the valve and a black rubber hose on the top of the valve held on with a hose clamp. Always shut the power off to the appliance before replacing any parts for safty.Make sure you shut the water off before removing valve.

My Hotpoint refrigerator (HSS25GPJ) stopped dispensing water from the front. What is the problems and how can I fix it?

There are 2 water valves located on back of refrigerator. one controls the water to ice maker and the other sends water to the water dispenser. The valve could be bad or the dispenser control on front could be defective. The first thing to do is check the water valve on back. When pressing the dispenser does the valve click or make a noise? Let me know, Sea Breeze

Overheating and now engine 'clicking noises.

possible causes of overheating are, dirty cooling system, clogged radiator, bad thermostat. Use only distilled water with a good quality coolant.

still overheating? have your top head checked - warped head, valves, valve seats, etc. You might need to have your engine's compression checked if it is still within specs.
