Question about Intex Automatic Salt Water System for Above Ground Saltwater Pool
If its in warrenty call them they will send you a new one, if its out of warrenty check your circuit board for corrision. to do this UNPLUG the system, take the 4 screws out of the peice with the display on it and pick it up there you will find a circuit board. Mine had a corroded resistor. i went to radio shack found a new one (a two pack for $1.50) soldered it on good to go works great. This seems to be a common problem i have read online.

SOURCE: problem with system
I had the same problem with mine. It kept shutting off and we would have to unplug and plug it back in just to get it to run for not even a full cycle every day. I thought it would be a nightmare because I'm in Canada but I called Intex and within a week I received my new salt water chlorinator that works great!

You can't. This exact thing happened to me at the end of last year. All the fins are broke. We ended up upgrading to the pump, and now this one overheats after 30 minutes and shuts off!
