My weber gas grill won't light. About a month ago, I had a BBQ and was unable to start the grill. I went to a home depot and traded in my existing propane tanks for new ones. This appeared to fix the problem as it lighted right up. Last weekend, I tried again to grill and ran into the same problem. Knowing that I had 2 relatively new propane tanks, I didn't think it was either. I attached and reattached each a couple of times to no avail. Thinking it could be the trigger, I used a lighter - to no avail. I do smell propane but perhaps not to the same extent as before.

SOURCE: We just had the propane tank checked, reattached

Stick a fan heater next to the burners for a few hours

Or pour some lighter fluid into the burner holes and set fire to it

Make sure you have a long match

SOURCE: New Tank won't light Weber Grill

Try checking the regulator, this is the round metal piece connected to the gas line. If this is not level flat the valve inside will not let propane flow through.

Hey Anon..
WOA...compressed propane is not something to mess around with..I would go back to the Home Depot and talk to the store manager,,(take your receipt and all other paper work for proof), ask him who to see about your issue.. tell him you are afraid to use your NEW grill.(Start at the top!).. you spent good $$$$ and you deserve an answer..or a new grill..

Need to buy a handle light for weber family 300

Weber doesn't have a handle light for the 'Q' Model grills. But, you can purchase a generic clamp-on handle light from just about any home center (ie.Lowe's & Home Depot) or hardware store (Ace or True Value) that sells gas grills and accessories.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks and Happy Grilling!!

Can a weber spirit e210 natural gas grill be converted to LP gas? I won the grill but don't have natural gas at my home

Weber sells conversion kits. Basically, you need a new regulator and manifold to accommodate LP instead of the existing regulator/manifold setup for natural gas. Unfortunately, Weber does not sell their parts online. Their parts phone # is: 877-731-8081

I NEED A RELPACEMENT REGULATOR AND HOSE ASSEMBLY FOR A Q3000: iS NOT APPARENTLY STOCKED BY ANYONE AND THE UNITS STOCKED ARE TOO SHORT.

According to the Weber web site http://store.weber.com/parts/gas/g2_ttbl_rht.aspx their parts page list the Hose/Regulator Assembly for your grill as 14.5 " long. Part # QCC1, for a price of $24.99.

I bought one at Home Depot two weeks ago that is 20" long for the same price.

So, apparently the hose/regulator assembly is stocked by Weber.

Weber Spirit one month old...went out, changed tank, won't light

The regulator that comes with Weber grills shuts the gas flow off if it detects the slightest leak. Disconnect the tank an reconnect. Check connections with soapy water for any leaks. Another problem, though uncommon for a new grill is a defective regulator. You have a 1 year warrenty on your grill so contact Weber if you continue to have problems.
