Question about Kenmore 55612 / 55614 / 5561 / 655619 Side by Side Refrigerator

Open Question

Kenmore 106.50522102 SidexSide Fridge and Freezer

Kenmore 106.50522102 SidexSide Fridge and Freezer are both warm. Husband moved the temp control for both without looking at the directions next to the knob "Turn one control at a time within 24hrs". He also moved it slightly (he said) to cold, not colder like he wanted to. Thier is air being blown into the freezer still, but it's not cold. There is also a clicking sound every now and then. (Kind of like the click you hear when you're preheating the oven). Any information would help. Thank you!

SOURCE: Kenmore fridge not cold

If you hear a clicking sound and the comp. kicks on then off , it could possibly be relay for the compressor or low of freon.

Side by side refridgerator part too warm

Make sure the small door between the freezer and fridge is open. It should be at the top towards the rear on the wall between the fridge and freezer. Thermostat controls its open/closing. And make sure freezer is in fact freezing and you don't just have residual cold in it. Freezer should be about 0 dertees.

The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

Freezer too cold--refrigerator too warm

If the cold control is not adjusting the temp when you move it, that can be part of the problem.

The temp sensor for the freezer may be reading the warm air in the fridge so is not cutting the compressor off.

Amana bz22rw fridge temp fluctuates & is a little warm - freezer is ok should i replace the fridge temp control or the damper

Temp control = controls run time of the compressor and temp of freezer.
damper and cold control = control how cool the fridge is...
also check you fan speed and air flow to the fridge.
