Camera does not turn on

The battery is full, and the camera does not turn on

I have had the camera for four years and this problem has occurred twice. It cost me $350 to have it fixed the first time and I am afraid it is going to cost me another $350 to have it fixed again.
Is this a chronic problem with this camera?

If you change a lens with this camera on it will burn out the camera sensor and will not do anything but whine like its searching for the type of lens you attach and then turn off after the 3 second whine. It happend to me once and I thought it was just a case of bad luck. But the second time I figured out that I left the camera on while changing the lens.. Hope this helps. Konica Minolta 7D.

Yes. The camera uses four standard AA batteries. Please refer to the "Battery Installation" section of the manual for full details.

I turn on my camera that has full battery but it doesnt turn on

Sounds like sand in the lens cavity. Use a fully charged battery, then lie the camera flat face down on the floor, ideally a carpet. With the camera OFF, lens face down with the carpet, switch the camera on. It will take a number of go's to release the **** stuck in it.
Mine took atleast 15 go's. Better than chucking the camera out, and saved atleast 80 dollars and a trip to Germany!

My camera stops working but the battery showed full.

Those are the symptoms of a battery that has been charged many times or has been allowed to completely discharge once or twice. Try some new ones.

Immediately turns off when turned on. New lithium

If the camera has recently been dropped you may have lens damage that is preventing it from powering up. If it hasn't been dropped your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera and give them a full charge (assuming that you are using rechargeable batteries). This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Sometimes it will not turn on and if you do get it to turn on and you take a photo it will turn off and not come back on.

Your problem is likely due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera and give them a full charge (assuming that you're using rechargeable batteries). This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, it may be time to replace your batteries, or the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Nikon D90 Memory Card Access Blinking

It's a deadly common problem of D90. Fixation:Simply go to the DSLR repair shop and ask them to change the power circuit board of the camera. Will take $60-70 if the board available. Reason of issue:The power control IC get short and feedback the battery power to the battery causing the draining out and other problem like the top LCD back lamp turned ON after turning on the camera. Careful:To avoid this issue in future, after full charge of the battery, do not put it in the camera right then. Wait for the battery to cool down for 5-10 min and then put it in. With the full charge, the battery hold high ampere for a short time. It could damage the power distributor IC suddenly if you put it in the camera right after a full charge. My camera is turning off

First clean all contacts in the battery chamber with a pencil eraser. Also clean the battery's contacts and try again. If you still get the same error, replace the batteries. It could be possible that the batteries have lost their full capacity.

Could be either. If on switch on again the indicator is full and you get more work done then its a camera fault. If when you switch on again the battery remains flat then this could be the camera fault too the flash capacitor showing signs of distress. On the other hansd the battery could be nearing the end it useful life. How much is a new battery?
