Nikon s220 lens error

The s220 seems to be very susceptible to lens errors, usually associated with the lens barrel being unaligned. It only takes the slightest bump/drop in many cases. Fixing it is a hit or miss solution. http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html Has a good list of possible fixes.

My Kodak easy share 12 MP digital camera isn't focusing

It's just a thought but quite a few cameras now have more than one focus options. Single point, multipoint and sometimes several types of multipoint focus.

Check your camera menu or instructions to see if yours has these functions. If so, try switching say to single point of focus. See if that's any better.

Nikon D90 Self-Timer does not work when flash is engaged.

The answer to your question can be found at...

All but the very best flashes can not recycle atthat flash rate. For burst mode, you probably want to use focus modeAF-C or AF-A.
Morris

Page 73 in the manual; If the flash fires in L or H mode (pg. 65), only one picture will be taken each time the
shutter-release button is pressed. The shutterrelease may be briefly disabled to protect the flash after it has beenused for several consecutive shots. The flash can be used again after ashort pause.
The flash can take several seconds to recharge andduring that time the shutter is disabled. NR will also reduce thenumber of frames per second that you can take, and of course yourshutter speed has to be fast enough to allow for 4.5 fps.
In AF-S the shutter won’t fire unless the camera has achieved an in-focus state and the focus is locked.
In AF-C the camera continually focuses, but that isnot the same thing as being in focus. As you move the camera or yoursubject moves, the in focus state will come and go, but the camera willattempt to continuously re-focus. BUT, the shutter will fire even ifwhen the AF system has lost the in-focus state and the picture is outof focus.
In the D90 manual it indicates that the AF-A modewill only fire when the green in-focus light is on, just like in AF-S.The problem is that you probably won’t get 4.5 fps unless both thecamera and the subject are stationary and no time is lost between shotswhile the camera re-focuses.

Camara doesn't take pictures

when a please turn on and off again appears there is normally a fault with or in the lens. I dont like to suggest that the camera must be opened by anyone that is not qualified to do the repairs because these cameras have components in that could be damaged and will only make the problem worse.

How was EVF improved?

This camera is equipped with the TFT micro display which has about four times the resolving power (number of pixels) of past models. As a useful mode, it has "Quality mode" of 640x480 pixels (30fps) and "Motion mode" of 640x480 pixels (60fps). Quality mode: The high resolving power is the most important. The detail parts can be recognized, and it is helpful when the focus is checked. Difficult focusing on the past models can be easy without enlarging. Motion mode: It is for recording the moving subject. The same number of resolving power is displayed as the quality mode. However, as the pixels are interpolated from 640x240 to 640x480 in Motion mode, the image in the Quality mode looks better.

Blurry Pictures

There are several factors that can contribute to getting better focus and improved results. 1. Auto Focus / Auto Exposure lock. Press the shutter button down HALF WAY. The camera will attempt to adjust exposure to the current lighting environment for maximum benefit. Then the camera will automatically correct the focus based on objects in the center of the display. If the camera can automatically set the focus and exposure, the LED by the viewfinder will turn GREEN. If the camera can not adjust the settings automatically, the LED will turn RED. This process usually takes about two to three seconds. 2. Be sure not to cover the sensor on the front of the camera with your finger. This will disable the automatic focus and exposure controls. 3. Rely on the Rear LCD Display. When in doubt, trust the LCD. The LCD will display the subject more accurately than the viewfinder. This will help with "framing" the subject, or determining if you have enough light for proper exposure. 4. Motion can cause a "blur" effect. Either motion of the subject, or motion by the photographer. This phenomenon is just like traditional photography. Moving objects may appear to blur, and this will be even more evident in lower lighting situations as the shutter speed slows down to allow for more light. The shutter will react faster in bright light, and motion will not be as apparent.

Ist DS Locked up - non functioning

If you go to http://www.pentaximaging.com and click on the service link it will tell you how to send it back (in the United States). My camera had a focusing problem. It was there for almost seven weeks before it was returned. I am not sure how good their technicians are since three weeks after I got the camera back the autofocus quit working again. I ordinarily use manual focus, but no one else in the family does. I called Pentax to complain and was told to ship the camera back (again). Finally they agreed to put out a pick up order for the camera. I was told they would pick it up sometime next week. I expect I won't see the camera again until November and that the camera will have spent a significant time at Pentax during the warranty period.
