    Hi
Thanks. I was able to remove the upper part of the mic. At the XLR end there is a circlip which I have not been able to remove as yet. Assuming I can remove the clip, could you please tell me what to do next. Thanks.

Thanks. There is no screw and no sticker. Can I assume that the capsule and XLR connector are one unit? If so when I remove the circlip I wil be able to push the base of the XLR forward thus pushing the capsule out through the screen end of the mic. I know what to check when I can remove the capsule. Thanks. Ian

At the very top of the mic, both, at left and right side you find a very tiny pin. Try to move these pins to the inside of the mic body until the upper part of the mic releases. Thats it. When you want to open the bottom part of the mic, just look into the XLR Connector (probably Tuchel) and release the screw.

like I said ..for the rear part it has a screw in the plug ..accessible from behind ...and it might have one hidden under the sticker ...Im not sure ..some have ..
about repairing ..I don't really know what to advice ..I only show how to take it apart ..look around cause usually there have to be a wire loose or something ..if all seams to be ok ..get a measurement tool and measure the resistance on each piece in part ..and see which one is interrupted and replace ..with same or one with the same specs..

pay attention ..usually it should have a screw..maybe is removed ..or like you said it just slides ahead with all ..it makes sense....

Sennheiser md 42 microphone not being picked up on camcorder help please.

This would require a special cable to work. The mic is MONOAURAL with BALANCED output and the camera is STEREO input. This means a special cable is needed and you would probably have to make it yourself as I haven't seen one on the market.Pin 2 of the XLR of the mic would go to BOTH the tip and ring of the plug into the camera. Both pins 1 and 3 of the XLR at the mic would tie to the sleeve of the plug to the camera. If you tried an XLR to 1/8 adapter, no audio would be heard other than from the buillt in mic.

How does one take a Sennheiser MD 421 apart?

Hi,

At the connctorside there's a small metal plate with a serial number.
You have to bench it a little, underneath there's a screw.
Unscrew it and you can take the connector out.
What I remember after 25 years is that there is a screw inside which is loosing the grill and element.

I've written it before with succes.

Warranty and repair

Hi newtrick
These headphones carry a manufacturer warranty of 2 years. I would suggest that you try them on at least one source to be sure that it is the headphone causing the problem that you are having before proceeding with making a warranty claim.
You should be able to locate a Sennheiser agent in your town. Click here to locate an agent near to you. I have been a seenheiser austhorised repair agent in the past, and they take failures under warranty very seriously and I am sure will resolve the problem for you at no charge.
Happy to assist you further or answer any questions you may have.

No sound from RS130 headphones

I'm having the same problem with the RS140. Only a few weeks old, and no sound at all coming out (not even the beeps). Have replaced batteries and tried a different audio source. Base station lights are on and indicating it is receiving an audio signal, but nothing is going go the headphones.

Alright, this sounds like the board was DOA (Dead on Arrival). Unfortunately it sounds like you will have to contact ASUS and request an RMA or a refund. This has been happening more often with ASUS products recently and is definitely a pain.

You should be able to find your way from here: http://support.asus.com/

You might give their tech-support a shot, just to ensure that it's not DOA. However this seems to be the case and will require you to either get a refund or replace (RMA) the board.

All the best.

Rice cooker DOA

Depends upon how much you bought it for..I believe eBay have a refund policy. Why not try to contact them? They usually answer very promptly. You should see a link at the top right corner that says "Live Help"
Click on that and you should get online support.

Hope that helps. Please dont forget to rate this post.

The only thing I can tell you for sure is that the mute indicator always flashes (very dimly) when the receiver is off.  I have no idea why, but mine has always done this.
