Maytag MSD2734GE Side by Side Refrigerator Logo

My Maytag side by side refrigerator has water coming out of it. From time to time, you can see water on the floor which has come from both the bottom right and left side of the refrigerator. I disconnected the water line some time ago and the problem didnt go away. It almost appears to be a defrosting cycle maybe. Maybe the water has no place to go. Is there a drip pan on these refrigerators? If so, is mine possibly full and how do I empty it? I really need to get this taken care of. My machine is less then two years old. Thanks for your help.

We have the same issue on our Maytag Side by Side - MSD2734GE. Empty the freezer. At the back of the freezer are two panels in the back. It is only necessary to remove 3 screws. The first 2 screws hold on the very bottom panel. Remove the back panels and look at the drain located at the bottom. You will notice a thin piece of metal covering a drain hole. Remove the screw holding the metal in place. Then remove the ice build up around the drain hole.

My Maytag side-by-side refrigerator/freezer Leak

There is a pan and drain hose under the freezer coil that is there to catch any water when the freezer goes into defrost. I feel strongly that is where you will find your leak.
I hope this helps.

Water leaking underneath refrigerator/water freezing in bottom of freezer

I'm dealing with the same problem right now with the same refrigerator. The cold water tank (for the front dispenser) has a hole in it that leaks every time someone dispenses water from the front door. You will find the water tank behind the top slide-out drawer in the fridge. The leaked water flows down one of the water tubes through a hole in the bottom of the fridge and onto the floor. I'll bet you have the same problem. Good Luck.

Maytag refrigerator

It may not be a water problem, it may be an air leak.
If there is something that is keeping the door from total closing, ice will build up from moisture.
check the gasket around the freezer door, or see if there is something that is keeping it from closeing completely.

Maytag Side By Side Problem

Check and make sure the drain pan under the refrigerator is in position and the drain hose is in the pan. If it misses the pan it will put water on the floor.
