Question about Canon PowerShot A540 Digital Camera
I have a canon power shot camera and I have a problem. It was working very good 1 year ago,but 4 days ago the display is dark like black color and you can see the fictures and settings and this work when you shot a picture and the flsh works too,but you never can see anything ,i need help from you please.
It indeed sounds as if your CCD image sensor has gone out. If you call Canon (1-800-828-4040) you can have it repaired at the Factoyr Service Center for somewhere in the neighborhood of between $79 and $99, I believe.
You may also qualify for their upgrade program wherein you can get a refurbished, upgraded model camera, for approximately the same price as the repair. That way you will have a higher model camera , which comes with a complete camera kit, you get to keep you old accessories, and you will have another 6 months worth of warranty, which the upgraded camera carries. All in all it's usually a pretty good deal. Call them and see what's available.
Hope this helps.
