SOURCE: set up router/modem as instructed

Problem can't be solved as described, a fixer would need more details.

What kind of modem/router is it?
What instructions are you working from so far (you say, "as instructed" so I take it you're looking at a Quick Start Guide of some sort?)
How are you connected to it?
What http address are you going to (E.g. some routers use 192.168.1.1, others 192.168.1.254 or various alternatives)
What happens when you enter that address on a browser?
Have you set your computer's address to a nearby address so it can talk to the route?

If I had one guess with not enough information, I'd say you need to set your PC to an address one different from the target you're going to.

I have new router how to set password?

You need to login to the user interface of your router usually it's 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.2.1 or 10.0.0.1 you need to hard wire a computer to your new router first open a browser and type one of the ip address on the top, type it on the address bar of your browser enter the admin pw, you did not specify the brand of the router but most router admin username and password is admin / password or just admin without pw or just admin for the pw, once you are logged in look for the network settings there and you can edit or set pw for your network depending on the nerwork type, hope this helps

I got a problem in connecting my samsung galaxy GT-7500 to sitecom extender 300N .. I have tried to change the IP address but it doesn't work with me . Any help plz?

Which modes are you trying to use this Sitecom? If you have the Sitecom as your Access Point (AP Mode), then you would need a LAN connection to your internet gateway (DSL, Cable Modem, etc). I didn't see any LAN hook up so I assume you are trying to use it as a wireless repeater. So you need to configure the unit differently. The 3rd mode is called Bridge mode. Again, you need to have a LAN hook up to your local network with a router or network switch.
Because your Tablet is connecting to the Sitecom okay, which mean that you either have the Sitecom setting for AP mode or Bridge mode. And the reason it didn't give you access to internet because there is no internet gateway connection to the Sitecom (LAN). I hope this answer your question (or confuse you totally).

I WANT TO SETUP MY ROUTER TO WIRLESS

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} Go to START and find RUN, then type in CMD and hit ENTER, should throw up a black box (Dos window) you will type IPCONFIG and it should give you an adapter gateway ip address like 192.168.0.1 or something like that, from there close out that box and launch internet explorer or firefox or netscape or whatever browser you use. Type in the ip address where you would normally type www.google.com. Hit ENTER, this will interface you with the router. It might be password protected. Usually the username and password are both the word admin. If not look at the bottom of router for password. Look for wireless tab once in router and select network type as wep. Look for the key that the router automatically generates. This will be your wep key. Now your wireless connection will be secure. Hope this helps...Tennis123

Wireless extender

OK.
It's pretty easy:
1) turn on both devices
2) connect to sitecom device.
- you may have to manually set your IP address. (from network resources control panel, TCP/IP tab. Check the istructions, cause you have to choose an address in the same subnet of the sitecom range extender. I mean, the first three numbers must be the same, and the last number of the address must be different, between 3 and 255).
- now you can type the sitecom address into the address bar of your browser (allow pop ups from that address!). The defaut user name is admin, as well the default password.
3) Ok, now you're connected and you just have to set this way in the basic settings:
working mode: universal repeater
now click on site survey and remember the ssid of your main network, and the channel number.
channel: type the channel number of your network (IT MAY CHANGE WHEN YOU TURN OFF\ON THE ROUTER!! so you'll have to change it maybe every day..... **** sitecom device, I HATE IT)
ssid: the ssid of your main network.
4) click apply.
Of course if your WLAN is protected you must set the rigth password and encription algorithm...

Now it should work.. but remember, everyday you will have to change the channel, and sometimes ou will have to reset it, from he toolbo tab.

IT,S BETTER NOT TO BUY THIS DEVICE, cause even the latest firmware is not working properly.

Re: Portforwarding thru a router not listed on portfoarward

ok... the IP address for your modem/router is probably 192.168.0.1

type that address into your webbrowser.  the username to login is probably admin, and the password is probably the same: admin.

once you log in, the very top row should have a link for 'firewall'

when you click on that, it should bring up the port forwarding screen.

manual for that model, including setting up port forwarding, is here:
